I read about Pension Dreams in a Lonely Planet book, and am very happy I chose to stay here in Room 7!  The building is in a great location, within short walking distance to Lion Square, and the expansive rooftop terrace has a beautiful panoramic view of the sea and Samos town.  Other rooms offer a private balcony with garden and sea views.  All rooms are clean, with fast wifi, air conditioning, and good value for money. As I was travelling alone, I needed a room only for one night, which was not expensive. By walking around I found Pension Dreams, and Kostas, the owner, offered me immediately a very nice and adequate room for me! I was really happy. Unexpectedly I booked the room for three (!) more nights, as I really enjoyed the city and the place at Kostas' Pension Dreams! 
It is very central, just a few little streets and steps away from the harbour and the main square. The rooms are very clean, free and fresh towels, and beautiful views out of the window! If you need anything to know about Samos or Vathy, you can ask Kostas! 
To sum it up: Pension Dreams is a clean, friendly, quiet, cheap and uncomplicated hotel! I definitely recommend it!

Stayed one night. Easy walking distance to town. Nice spacious and home-ly room with good bathroom and lovely view over the port. Room well equipped. For value, superb - delivered far more than I was expecting. Very friendly host also.

Location of this place is excellent. True, the steps to climb from the waterfront are steep, but it's really only two or three minutes from the café and restaurant strip. For that climb you get nice and quiet rooms with superb views. However, the rooms are rather simple and not that cheap for what they offer.

Great location, beautiful views, and fast wifi

The owner did not have the other room ready so he gave us a room he said was "the best...a triple". 
The shower was HORRIBLE. Please see the photos, you shower in a narrow and tiny space with nothing separating the toilet!!! There is no curtain or height difference. The whole room gets soaked and damp! 
Then the second problem- the sewer stinks! Mosquitoes and a strong smell come out!
Look at how dirty the kitchen is! Look at the photos. Disgusting! 40 euros for this!!
I didn't say anything to the man because I realised all this after I had paid.
