Skoutari Beach Hotel

Superb location overlooking the Skoutari Bay area. Good, relatively spacious rooms, excellent cleaning service. Easy parking. The sea is very near on foot. Katerina the hostess is brilliant and very helpful. The top floors are better than the ground ones. Very good prices in comparison to what is on offer. Overall highly recommended! The only snag is the wifi service which is very unstable in the rooms. Better if you log on from the reception area. Also, the air conditioners definitely need upgrading! Small suggestion for improvements (especially regarding longer-staying customers): rooms need some additional furnishing, a small table, a chest of drawers, etc
 

The moment you arrive here you know you are in for a treat. We were welcomed like new friends and given drinks to cool down. We were then shown to our rooms and encouraged to enjoy one of the nearby beach tavernas for lunch. The rooms look out at Skoutari bay and have balconies and self-catering basics if wanted. They are clean, simple, air conditioned and I think very good value given the location and views. The local beach is stunning, with excellent food available. The local town has a small store and a very good restaurant. We loved our time there and were sad to say goodbye.

Excellent location to visit Mani peninsula.
Very big and confortable room with a nice balcony and a very romantic view!  The bay is a naturally protected area and both beaches are 5 minutes Walk distance. Good quality for a good price. The family-run fish taverna on the beach is great!  Do not miss it!  Thanks Caterina for your kindness and useful suggestions! 

This is a very well located hotel, 4 min walk to the lovely beach of Skoutari. It is managed by very friendly and helpful staff who make sure all your needs and requests are met. 

The hotel itself, needs certain improvements especially, the bathroom and kitchen areas and certain additions ( eg coat rack, toothbrush holder, more comfortable chairs on the patio and a kettle/toaster) would be welcome. The rooms are cleaned every 2 days and also linen and towels are changed. 

In overall, the location of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff compensates for those omissions and we had a very relaxing and authentic holiday in Skoutari!

Located on walking distance from skoutari beach. The rooms are big, not really well decorated, but is not an issue. The important issue is it is close to the beach, with a nice view and quiet enough to enjoy yr coffee in the evening or a glass of wine at night. The staff is very friendly especially the lady at the reception. Everyday cleaning in the rooms is not well performed, yet sheets and towels are regularly changed. There is no breakfast and I think there should be

Very nice place to spend your vacations

This a collection of apartments in a beautiful location overlooking Skoutari Bay.  The closest beach is within a 400 metres distance; this may be a bit challenging to walk for young kids and elderly people since the itinerary to the beach is mildly steep.  There are two other beaches in about 500 metres and 800 metres, respectively.  There are beautiful roses and Dafni trees outside of the basement apartments and the basement rooms are spacious for a four members’ family.  Bed matresses were very comfortable, too. The landlord, Mrs Katerina was very polite.
However, the apartment where we stayed was horribly dirty. On arrival, as soon as we opened the door of the refrigerator, we noticed that the refrigerator’s shelves were rusty and there were mosquitos within.  The refrigerator seemed as if it had never been cleaned and it had never been defrosted.  We complained to the landlord and they brought us a new refrigerator which did not have these problems.  However, there were more to come: we noticed that the bathroom (a small one) was dirty and many items within were rusty, too.  There was a small kitchen which was dirty too: there were stains all over the place.  There were also spiders’ cobweb.  The floor was dirty too.  By the way, there were no informative pictures of the bathroom in Trip Advisor from previous travellers so we post some.
We mentioned again these problems to the landlord but unfortunately the problem was not resolved.  Cleaning was taking place once every three days even though this had not been mentioned to us upon booking; the site of the hotel does not mention this either, neither other sites like Booking do.  We were expecting that cleaning would take place every day. But even so, the effectiveness of cleaning was non-existing: all the stains and cobwebs remained there.  There were stains of dirt even in the bathroom where we brushing our teeth.
There was an air condition in the room but we did not dare turning it on: given the lack of any cleaning of the room and the condition of the bathroom, we were afraid that the air condition filters had never been replaced and we did not want to inhale the air.
In sum, a beautiful location but a VERY DIRTY PLACE to stay.  We could not relax and we could not let the kids play in the room to avoid touching all the dirty parts. Taking a bath in the shower was also unpleasant thinking that we could not touch anything.  Certainly not a place to stay with kids.
