My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at Halara Studios! Stelios, the owner/manager was extremely helpful and informative he drove us into town because we didn’t know we would need to rent our own form of transportation to get around the island. We would not have been able to do anything if he hadn’t helped us with this! He called some connections he had in order to get us an ATV ASAP since we didn’t have the international license required to rent a car. On our final day he even drove us all the way back to the airport. He was the most helpful host we’ve ever had. Both he and the housekeeper were very flexible with check in/check out time and we were pretty much just able to leave whenever we were ready.

The room itself was very clean and had a great view, especially at sunset. The bed was  very comfortable and the shower was great. There is a grocery store about a 3 minute drive down the road and the small town center of Plaka is only a 3 or 4 minute walk away and has some great shops, restaurants and bars. It was also only about a 9 minute ride to Adamantas where there are a ton of great restaurants and bars as well as the port where we took a boat tour. Overall I would highly recommend staying here!

Great stay at Halara Studios

Nice location at the edge of town with the most gorgeous view on the outside patio to enjoy for our breakfast.  Friendly kind service and spotless room.  We were kindly granted a late checkout and it was gratefully appreciated!

Amazing view

Outstandingly clean and with high-spec design. Very beautiful and quiet location with spectacular view and close to the picturesque centre of plaka. The owner, Stelios was lovely and provided us with recommendations for our stay at the island. We strongly recommend to anyone who wants a high-quality holiday in Milos!

Amazing stay in lovely appartments

Great location! Beautiful apartment newly refurbished with modern decor plus wonderful views! Our gorgeous host Stelios greeted us at the port and drove us to the apartment then gave us detailed information of must dos around the island which we followed and weren’t disappointed! My daughters and I just loved our stay!  Thoroughly recommend and would love to return some day!

Stayed with family in the house. Very convenient location to Plaka. Excellent sea views. Quiet. Very clean property with daily housekeeping service. Overall would highly recommend this property. The staff was very helpful and available 

Best in Milos

Location - Really central. Everything was just a short walk away

Customer service - Stelios was really friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. Anna (the housekeeper?) was super lovely as well. On our last day, she made us some watermelon cake to take with us. It was amazing! 

Car pick up from port - This was a nice and easy process. Stelios was there waiting for us, he had a lot of information to share with us on the drive in and he was quite knowledgeable 

Room - We were in a 1 bedroom studio. It was pretty small, but very clean and tidy. 

Bed - Unfortunately this was the worst part of our stay here. The bed was absolutely rock hard and was so uncomfortable. My partner, who can usually sleep anywhere, anytime, could not get a decent nights sleep here at all. We would both be up until after 3am, tossing and turning, trying to get comfortable.

Bathroom - For greek standards, this was pretty ok, except that the whole floor area would always end up soaking wet after we had a shower. 

View - The view was really lovely and so peaceful

Environment - The hotel was high up on the hill, far away from any noise. It was really quite and peaceful. Great for couples looking for some R&R

Value - It was quite expensive for what it was. We did travel during peak season however, in July, so that's to be expected. But for that price, you'd think there would at least be a pool or somewhere to cool down!

Best customer service all-round

Well located in Plaka, nice view on the sea. We were Ines the family apartment. Nicely renovated, beautiful. 2 bedrooms, one kitchenette, one bathroom with a shower. One terrasse. No breakfast included. Cost of 300 euros per night. Found it a bit expensive even though it was quiet and nice. Stevios was kind and helpful

Very good but found it a bit expensive

We had a mixed stay at this property.  While there were some positives (good communication via email from management, help with services, central location), there were also several negatives.  On the negative side, we found the rooms to be not as nice as the photos suggested (i.e. a bit of noticeable wear and tear). Also, the bathroom and particularly the shower could use significant improvement.  The shower stall is not fully closed off by glass therefore the floor gets quite wet after each shower and we had to do a fair amount of drying of the floor with towels.  Also we thought the price of the property was higher than the value provided - there were better values to be found elsewhere in Milos.  While the views from the property are certainly very good as noted by many others, Milos is an island full of amazing views so this was not perhaps as important to us in hindsight.  Overall, we thought that the reviews for this property were higher than they should be and another perspective would be helpful.  We did have stays at other properties in Greece that were clearly excellent.    

A Bit Disappointing

We stayed here for a week in summer (July). Although the room was described as having sea view, you do need to stand up and walk to the window to get the view. I would recommend staying in the rooms with the balcony - that would probably be nicer but very expensive... Our bathroom kept flooding after a shower. Stelios was helpful as he has plenty of local knowledge. However, the owners were quite frugal with amenities like shampoo and drinking water. Location was excellent to Plaka - a very lovely town.
