This place was perfect! We didn’t want to leave. It’s a family business and they made us feel like family. They have the best restaurant attached as well. From the moment we arrived Chris greeted us at the door and we felt instantly taken care of. The Gardenia Taverna, their restaurant, was so good for our first lunch that we ended up eating all of our meals there because we could not imagine there was anywhere better! Beautiful views, beautiful rooms, and beautiful people that we were sad to leave!

Christos & his family are extremely welcoming & it is not a surprise to see their restaurant terrace full every evening.

It is a family business and it shows, the food & ingredients are top noch.

We are staying at the guest house too and the service quality & confort of the room is hard to fault.

The room was perfect. The staff was warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond at the restaurant! Food was delicious! The breakfast was simple and serve yourself. Would definitely stay there again!

Affordable yet beautifully remodeled rooms and common areas.   I’ve stayed at hotels 5x  more expensive that are not nearly as nice nor clean.

The staff from the taverna and hotel are simply the best, they were so kind to me and my sister (11&14). We stayed to visit Meteora and they gave us places to visit/help. The room is beautiful and comfy beds. If you’re looking for a quiet village with many restaurants and view points then this is for you :)

Some may think that the name of the hotel, its location right before the monasteries pushed me to write what follows. But it's only thanks to Nikolaos and his team. First we arrived very late, around 10PM. Nikolaos, the owner, immediately welcomed us like we were family warning us that his restaurant may close soon in case we were hungry. Intrigued by the lively noise coming from there, we followed his advice and what a tremendous surprise! Food was good, as in many greek tavernas. But the service was truly exceptionnal! As I confessed to him, I've been to many fancy restaurants but never met a crew so passionate about their jobs. They are swift, smiling, caring and remember everything about you. You feel special when being there, and it is not surprising that we came back there the next day and ended up in a bar all together.

Kind owners, accommodating and friendly service, impeccably clean rooms (the balcony rooms with wonderful views of Meteora). And the attached restaurant is superb (moussaka to die for, but honestly everything is top notch). Highly recommended!

The most amazing place in Kastraki. People in guest house Plakias are out of this world. Service, Kindness is beyond believe. Is like a family. The rooms very very clean and beautiful and the food is amazing, fresh prepared nice original true greek food, great atmosphere. I will be back again and again. Don't think twice, this is the place to stay. Love you wonderful people

This place is a gem! First of all, the location is just perfect in the middle of Kastraki, with beautiful views of Meteora. The family that runs this place are so nice and friendly, that you feel among friends. The Tavern attached to the hotel is absolutely delicious, and you really feel well cared by everyone. Take the breakfast! it is so copious and delicious, that you will be satisfied for hours, and the ladies in charge of the breakfast, Sofia and Martha, are just wonderful!! Stay here. Highly recommended. 

This was our 6th trip to Greece and our first visit to Meteora.  Guesthouse Plakias would get 10 stars from us!  The staff and the owners were wonderful.  The restaurant was obviously the most popular in town (for good reason) and our room was large with a deck that looked out over the Meteora.  We felt very welcome by owners Nikos and Sophia, as well as waiters Talos and Manos (did I spell these right?) as well as everyone else whose names we didn't get.  Thank you, and cheers!  We drank our wine tonight with our home cooked Greek meal.
