We always stay at Drosia as it ticks all our boxes for the best stay in Georgiopoli! After an enforced two year absence and a few cancellations, we were delighted to get back there again last week and all I can say is that this hotel is as friendly and welcoming as its always been - Christina will go those extra steps to ensure you have the most relaxed and comfortable stay - the rooms are still spotlessly cleaned, well equipped with fridge, kettle and utensils (ask for anything more you need and it will be provided!) and more than reasonably priced! Drosia is quietly located (silent in fact because of the double balcony doors - one being the blackout one) yet perfectly positioned by the bridge for a stroll to tavernas aplenty, Kalivaki beach (or the town beach) for an early morning swim and the eucalyptus tree road alongside the river for an occasional run! The bus stops for Rethymnon and Chania are just a few hundred meters along the road opposite the hotel if you want a few drinks further afield! We had a car for a few daytime excursions and trips to the long beach further east and parking on the hotel forecourt could not be easier, closer or safer. The air conditioning is super efficient and the WiFi signal is also good.
We wouldn't stay anywhere else and this time we brought friends who loved it there as much as we do and are talking of rebooking as soon as they can! Thankyou Christina yet again for looking after us all so kindly (and for the little treats you left in our room!) xx

Still as lovely as ever!

I love Hotel Drosia and I love the people who run it. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a great deal in a hotel with a lot of charm, a great location, and friendly staff, this is as good as it gets. On my first visit, I only stayed a few days, but they treated me like an old friend. My second and third visits were even better. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and cute owner of the hotel ! Very cute rooms with a great view and very near to the centre of Georgioupoli and right between Chania and Rethymno ! 
We would choose Hotel Drosia over and over again every time we'll travel to the beautiful Kreta ! Love it

My family have stayed here twice - it was once a family owned and managed hotel but sadly the owners have since passed away. The hotel is no longer run by the family but it is still as good as ever. Just of the main square but in a quiet location beneath the Eucalyptos trees. Good sized rooms with excellent room servicing.

Very comfortable and friendly hotel. The rooms are very clean, everything works, including excellent air-conditioning. The beds are very comfortable. Your hosts, Alexander and Christina are very kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. Prices are very reasonable too.

Pleasant Family-Run Hotel in Heart of Georgioupolis

We have stayed in many different hotels and apartments in Georgiopolis - but now, we will never stay anywhere else. Drosia is run by the most lovely, warm hearted owner, Christina, whose mission is to ensure her guests are looked after in the best possible way. The room is quite basic but spotlessly clean and contains everything you need - like a fridge, a kettle and basic cutlery and crockery. As you can imagine, if you want for anything else, Christina will find it for you! I loved the shower - in many Greek rooms the shower head has no wall fixing and the water goes everywhere - not so at Drosia - the long shower curtain kept our bathroom floor totally dry! We slept soundly every night, in part because of the Raki Christina left in our room on day 2, but also very much due to the 2 sliding doors to the balcony (one of which is blackout) which makes the room totally silent at night. The aircon is super efficient too! Practicalities like a hairdryer (and a plug next to the mirror with a light over!), individual over bed wall lights and plentiful hanging space make life very easy. The WiFi is free and mostly works well. Towels and bedding were changed more than we needed and the room was cleaned daily. We loved our time spent at Drosia and our evenings on the balcony watching the world go by! It is probably one of the cheapest accomodations in GP but it ticked all our boxes and more! All this, only a few meters from the main square, the harbour, the beach and all the lovely tavernas!

Incredible value for money

Christina and her husband are great hosts, very hospitable, helpful and kind. 
The rooms are cozy and clean. 
They have WiFi everywhere. 
The sea is just 5 minutes away. There is also a river with beautiful wild geese right by the hotel.
You can feel the spirit of local life here.

Amazing place

A perfect little secret in the heart of Georgioupoli!Very polite and helpful staff!In a few meters you can find restaurants,cafes and ofcource a wonderful beach with a lot of beach bars!we ll visit it again for sure
