Wonderful family owned and run establishment supplying top quality food in typical Greek friendly atmosphere. That good that 2/3s of occupation were returning customers some with 20+ years which says more for this place than i can say. Location is a little bit tired and the local is not of the big sandy commercial type but still nice and friendly atmosphere.

Very Greek in the nicest possible way

We arrived and was greeted by Thanos who gave us some bottles of water and also left the bar open for us a little later due to our late arrival, all the staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't do enough for us, Mike the owner is a wonderful and very generous man who takes great pride in looking all his guest and nothing was ever too much trouble for him, including a bottle of champagne for my fiancé's birthday,
Would definitely return xx

Fantastic place

Theologos is quiet with a handful of restaurants so if you want a quiet relaxing holiday this hotel is perfect in this area. Simply furnished rooms spotlessly clean and a nice pool area with plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day.
The owner and staff are all really nice and friendly with nothing too much trouble and when we were there we met people who had been returning here for many years.

Excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday

A wonderful hotel! Basic but super clean and perfect for young families. The pool was wonderful and the bar/restaurant was always open and did great food. It was walking distance to the beach and to supermarkets/restaurants.

Helpful info for young families that we tried to find out before we went but couldn't: 
They do provide travel cots (we booked through Jet2 and they couldn't confirm).
There is a children's pool thats 0.55m deep, perfect for little swimmers.
We read an old review that said they provided a hotplate and pan if asked but that wasn't the case so it was quite hard to self cater dinners if on a budget (or trying to make simple dinners like pasta for toddlers which we had planned on doing).
Our room had two balconies which was great for parents to enjoy once the kids went to bed.
There was a kettle, fridge and sink in the room.
The air con was an extra 10 euros a day.
The WIFI only worked down at the pool and was a bit temperamental but it was quite nice to switch off.
There isn't much shade on the beach so a pop up beach tent was handy.
We went in June and there were no other children so it was very quiet otherwise. Always plenty of sunbeds available

A lovely hotel, simple but very clean and in a great location

Just returned from a lovely stay at Alkmini. The accommodation is quite basic, there is a kettle and fridge in the room and that's pretty much it, but you only have to ask and they will bring you a 2 ring hot plate and a couple of saucepans. We had a one bed apartment with a lovely large balcony, initially we were disappointed as it overlooked the road, but actually most the rooms do and the the road is extremely quiet leading up to the village. The bathroom could do with updating but is functional. The apartment was clean with clean sheets and towels around every other day. What makes this place so great is the general vibe around the pool and restaurant and the absolutely lovely staff. We were there for the Queens funeral and they made sure they were able to show it on the restaurant tv for the guests wanting to watch it (which was most of us, the pool emptied!) they were very respectful and kept noise to an absolute minimum during it.  It's a family run place and nothing is too much trouble. The food was very good, from snacks like burgers right up to lovely home cooked authentic Greek dishes, and very good value. Thank you Alkmini, Michael, Ritsa and all the rest of the staff whose names we failed to get.

Lovely 9 night stay.

Back for our 5th time on 16th august unfortunately only for a week this visit , Alkmini apartments are just the best for us it’s a home from home the welcome from all the family is amazing as is the food & the surroundings the pool is just so relaxing everything is so clean , we don’t venture far from Alkmini as this is our yearly relaxing holiday we know what we are flying out to - a beautiful family who can’t do enough for you , delicious home cooked food , Mike who is just an amazing gentleman who is now stepping back a bit but his son in law panagotis is learning the bar & Mike  is a great teacher 😂  we will always return every year we love this place so much - thanks to MIKE , ALKMINI , RITSA , THANNASIS , BARBARA & PANAGOTIS who are the most beautiful family , also to Fostini & regwan for once again making our holiday beautiful 🤩 see you all next year XX

Back again for an amazing holiday 🤩🤩

We stayed at Alkmini hotel 12/8/22 -19/8/22 we had a lovely relaxing time. It’s a family run hotel they are just lovely , kind and so helpful. They aim to please. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We also met some lovely people at this hotel it was great . Michael and his wife alkmini are the sweetest. Yes it’s 2star but the family the pool the food that’s what made our holiday. We hired a car for a day so we got to see some of the island such an amazing place .

Wonderful friendly family run place

Just returned from 10days at Alkmini with my husband and 3 year old. Rooms are basic but comfy beds, balcony, fridge and working shower. The pool/bar area is fabulous! Quiet with plenty of sun beds available all day. My toddler played in the small pool happily and had it to herself most days! The family who run the place are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. They gave my daughter a free banana snack every day plus water for our trip home.

We ate at the onsight restaurant most days. Food was delicious, large portions and very reasonably priced. Meal for 3 of us and a drink averaged at around €30. Would recommend the mixed grill! Very impressive. 

I would 100% book again WITH car hire… 

The location is the downside. Not to much around and the local beach is a pebble beach. Shop is a 5min walk, pebble beach is a 10min walk. Probably about 5 other eateries and that’s it. The bus service is ok but can be unreliable. Taxis to Rhodes town is about €30 and to faliraki is €40. We hired a car for the last two days and loved the freedom!

Amazingly peaceful Holiday

1st visit to these apartments and area.
We arrived late night / early hours of the morning. Greeted with a warm welcome and 3 bottles of well needed water. 
The self catering apartment was basic but very spacious. Perfect for 2 adults and 1 teenager. 
Lovely pool area, bonus was not getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sun lounger. Plenty to go around. 
The whole place is clean and tidy and well maintained. 
What makes this place is the family and staff who run it. They cannot do enough for you. They are hard working and very polite and friendly. 
We ate here a fair bit and OMG the food was amazing.  We were very impressed. 
I was cheeky and asked if I could have something that wasn't on the menu, the response was - if I have it in the kitchen I can make it for you. Which they did. 
Very quiet location, which gave us the opportunity to totally switch off. 
Shop 5 mins walk away / beach 10 mins walk away. You can catch the local bus on the main road to Rhodes town 3 euros each way. 
Never thought I'd be saying this but I can't wait to return next year xx
