Most Ghana hotels come at a price that is exorbitant, while delivering lousy service and bad rooms. Rees hotel differs by charging a reasonable price, offering a clean room and offering an almost homely service. It's far from perfect, but from now on our favourite pad when visiting Kumasi.

Price / comfort ratio outstanding

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Basic accommodation suitable for a short stay in Kumasi if you are happy to forgo home comforts. Good location and good wifi connection. Breakfast was basic. My only gripe would be why have a shower but no shower curtain?

Not bad for a budget hotel, you get what you pay for. The bedrooms are basic and could do with being freshened up with paint and new bedding.

No extra bedding available including pillows, blankets or mattress for kids which is a major negative. 

Breakfast is rather poor just eggs, sugar bread and milo/coffee

The staff are friendly and know the local
Area well, very helpful and generous with their time to get you settled in.

Very central location

Not bad for a budget hotel

Visited the hotel last week and slept in one of the executive room. Think management need to be serious about the hotel. Aircondition need serving and rooms need fumigation cause experience I had with mosquito is very bad. Don't think I will visit the facility again.

Experience with Reece hotel

i stopped for a night in Kumasi and booked in this "hotel". i choose the executive room because the other rooms were in a bad state. The room i chose had old furnishings, it was not clean enough, TV had poor channel signal. Broken cabinets. Safe looked. They do not have card payment facilities at all. I found that pathetic in such a big city.

The pool was welcoming though but it was not so clean. They only started circulating the water and cleaning it when i wanted to jump in.

Worse of them all, i asked to have my breakfast early. they did not pass the message. I had to remind them. When the breakfast came, i could only eat something that resembled an omelette, which tasted like rubber. So i was late and hungry.

I would really encourage them to improve or they will soon not see even the few people that came there.

Disappointed

We stayed with a party and no one had a room where everything worked. The water went off one day so we could not even flush the toilet. They got a water tanker in during the night. The staff were friendly and well meaning but struggled to achieve anything. The restaurant was very slow and limited in what it could do.
