Gasthaus Zum Engel

Stayed four nights recently, the hotel is low cost and this is reflected in the standard of the hotel. yes it is basic but very clean and welcoming. Single room on the small side but I was only sleeping there. The hotel itself is clean and functional, the bed was very comfortable and although there is no aircon the ceiling fan worked very well. tea and coffee making facilities available but they didn't replenish what I used. Breakfast is basic but good, there is little parking at the hotel but you can park by the river which is only metres away. Reception is on the first floor, I didn't see a lift so maybe an issue for people with difficulties with stairs. The bar and restarant were not open while we were there but there is a good Italian across the road and if you walk along the river a couple of good restuarants only 20 mins walk away. I would return as it is very good value for the amount of money you need to pay.
