Booked in for a meal in advance. the food and the service was great, very helpful, friendly staff and really tasty food and all for a good price. It is close to the main road, but that wasn't an issue. lovely outside terrace area and a kids play area out the back. Ample packing at the side for both the hotel and restaurant.

The hotel is situated  on the main road a couple of miles from Simonswald. Ample parking..
Comfy room at the back overlooking a pretty stream. Would imagine the front rooms are a bit noisy from traffic.
Despite wifi in rooms being advertised, there was no access in our bedroom nor in the upstairs lounge area. The hotspot is in the restaurant but quite intermittent.
Excellent good value food at dinner. Pleasant service.  Breakfast was fine and a boiled egg offered.
The owner's wife was helpful and approachable. We only saw her partner at breakfast with his head buried in a newspaper . He did manage an "auf wiedersehen" as we departed..... but left us to carry our own luggage while his wife opened the front door.

good overnighter

We chose this guest house as being out of the bustle of Baden Baden and it was in a lovey place. Room very comfortable, regional menu in restaurant excellent, walks from the door, pretty stream running right by, free parking, "grandma" dealing with the breakfasts in a  lovely manner.Only down side was some noise from the road which is busier than we expected. Very pleasant family- run concern -thank you.

This Gasthaus is about 30 miles from the Triberg Christmas Magic light/fire show.  We stayed here on Christmas night, saw the fire show in Triberg and had dinner in the restaurant.  We enjoyed our stay.  The room was comfortable and what I have seen at most guest houses.  The only thing we disliked were the linens (towels) were line dried (um ya it's winter) so they were scratchy (but clean). 
The food (dinner) in the restaurant was amazing!  some of the best we have had in Germany in almost a year of living here.
