Hotel Am See

In a way this is a no nonsence fine business hotel. Easy and free parking outside, a bistro and a fine dining restaurant, excellent breakfast and generelly very hospitable atmosphere (friendly and effective check-in). Free WiFi, which worked well for e-mail. The area was calm. I did not see any AC in the room, and my attic room with a rather small window was very nice but I am not sure if it would have been on one of the hot days we had this summer. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of fresch baked bread, perfect scrambled eggs and a good choice of ham and cheese, Also here the service was very friendly and effective. I deduct one point on the cleanliness as there was a hair which was not mine in the shower. Yes, I am being hard....otherwise spotless. A final point may be that the complimentary schampoo and soap had a label "Basic", really looking cheap. It was OK but did in a way reduce the otherwise very fine standard of everything. It cannot cost much more to get these items with a little bit more fancy design. But again, the schampoo and soap was perfectly OK for me. I will be in this area quiet a lot over the coming years and will probably return. If not, it would be for other location.
