Very well located, at the old town, near to the best Heidelberg attractions. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast reminds you of a family breakfast. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help us, the reason to consider it as a “family hotel”. A place to consider in a future trip to Heidelberg. 

Family hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way to Austria and it was in a perfect town centre location opposite Heidelberg’s old bridge. We parked our car overnight at the Parkhaus Kornmarkt/Schloss P12 which was within easy walking distance of the hotel as we guessed that trying to drive straight to the hotel to drop off our luggage during peak afternoon tourist times would be a nightmare and we were right. The check-out receptionist provided a discount ticket for parking which ended up only costing €10 instead of the normal €17.50. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the busy Steingasse so there was no view to speak of, but it was a large clean room with comfortable bed and although the decor was dated it kind of fitted in with the ambience of this old building and ancient Heidelberg itself. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful town.

Perfect Location

The standard double is a tiny room with one window. Nothing decorative in the room and furniture is chipped and tired. Only redeeming factor is the location. It’s right on the river next to the bridge. Within walking distance to all sights. Staff was helpful.

There are better options.

Stayed for 1 night on our way to Innsbruck. Standard room, mattress awful and noisy, definitely needs an upgrade. This could be a lovely hotel, however I wonder if they are relying too much on their location. Will not be coming back!

Great location, rooms need upgrading

The place of the hotel. the staff en the room was very good, the breakfast was little because of christmas days, no problem for that money we paid.
Restaurant was closed because of christmas, Heidelberg has more so no problem.
The hotel is on the place to be in Heidelberg near the old bridge and his river the Neckar.

Nice place

Located literally across from the Bridge "monkey".  Stepping out of the Hotel you're in the midst of everything.  The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful.  The room was surprisingly large and clean, with a drop dead view of the Bridge towers.  We had windows to the street on the other side.  Yet a peaceful sleep with no noise.  Highly recommend.  There are some stairs however, and no elevator.

Easy, a great place to stay !

Staff very friendly and allowed us to leave our case behind reception on our check out day so we could explore a bit more before catching our train. Location excellent, very central. 3 stars given as interior was dated (plus squished mosquitos on walls), bed was hard, room quite cramped, bathroom small. But if your on a budget like us it's just fine.

Does what it says on the tin!

The schnitzl is so good and prices, we enjoyed lovely bavarian style cuisine. Nice wine list and great location. Waitresses friendly and quick service. Definetely check out this place and enjoy great food
