Excellent location.  Comfortable stay. Helpful family. I recommend with full of my heart for anyone looking for comfortable homestay. Recommend for singles and couples. English works fine and rooms are clean and cosy. Everything you need is nearby.

Tired tourist

A real home atmosphere. A warm welcome from both Tina and her husband Zviadi. Very friendly and available for any request / information. Very nice breakfast in the small terrace in the courtyard. Excellent cleaning of bedrooms and both bathrooms. Free to return at guesthouse at any time. Free to make tea or coffé at any time. Perfect central location that allows you to walk around the city in complete tranquility. Experience to be repeated absolutely

The best way to feel at home!

Everything is just perfect about this place, the location, the rooms, the hospitality and the warmth. If i come back to Tbilisi this is the place i'm gonna stay at.The personal touch is so good, it doesn't look like you are staying away from home.

Excellent service

Tina and her husband were just wonderful hosts. I couldn't  recommend this homestay more highly. Tina's husband picked me up from the airport - unfortunately he doesn't speak English, only Georgian and Russian, although the family is also learning Italian (the family have very strong Italian ties). Tina's English is very good, so there were no communication problems. 

I was made to feel very welcome on my arrival, almost part of the family - they were also kind enough to share their home with me over Old New Year, and we celebrated with some champagne and treats. The family also gave me toothpaste, a hairdryer and adaptor when I discovered I had forgotten my own! 

The family home was built at the turn of the 20th century - if you're looking for a real "Georgian" place to experience - this is it. The walls are covered in paintings and you'll notice a lot of objects related to Verdi (the family is very very musical). The room was comfortable, warm, clean, and suited me very well. 

Tina's husband cooked me breakfast in the morning - lots of omelettes, bread, sweet Georgian bread and jam (no croissants here and neither should you expect them!). Though be warned, apparently eating an entire omelette, bread and a full mug of tea is "very little!". 

Overall, a wonderful experience - Tbilisi is a charming city and staying with Tina and her family really made my time there special.



Real Georgian hospitality 

Very well located just two minutes from the square. Very quiet. Tina and Zviad are nice people eager to help you. Modest rooms and breakfast. Ideal for people ready to meet other tourists and to find more about life in Georgia. Tine knows a lot about history, Zviad is fanatic opera lover.

Nice homestay in Tbilisi

If you value privacy, this place is NOT for you. 

1) The bedrooms are upstairs, and the ONLY bathroom int he home is on he first floor. You'll have to walk through the kitchen and next to Tina's room to go to the bathroom. 

2) I was trying to sleep at 1:30am but Tina has some friends over downstairs talking and drinking. It was loud enough to keep me away until 2:00am. 

3) The hot water of the shower was NOT hot, more like warm. It actually further exasperated my cold/runny nose. 

4) The entire second floor (guest rooms) is sloped which is a structural problem. I guess it's normal for a home this old but just and FYI

4) If you value privacy, this place is NOT for you. 

5) My original stay was booked on Hostelworld.com for 3 nights. When I first arrived I told Tina that I'd like to change it from 3 nights to 2 nights, she tries to convince me to stay for 3 nights. She tells me it's low season and I'm the only guest and she needs the money. She said her salary is 400 GEL per month and her husband is the same. (I don't care and it's not my problem). When I check out after 2 nights, she insists on charging me 15% extra the first two nights. The price was 15 Euros a night, Hostel world takes 15%. She wanted me to pay the full amount of 30 Euros (though the Balance = 30 Euros-15%). She lies to me about this. I didn't want to argue and I felt sorry for her, so I didn't care and paid the entire 30 Euros. I told her nicely that's not how it should be but SHE INSULTS ME AND ASKED ME IF I EVER STAYED IN A HOTEL EVER. (Please, I traveled to 75 countries and I wasn't sleeping in the streets). 

I'll be reporting her unethical practice to HostelWorld.
