We stayed here for four nights when attending a wedding nearby and I can only recommend this place!

We rented the two rooms on the groundfloor and other friends of ours the cabin in the woods, which is really cute.

Rooms are basic, but clean. This is not a lux place, rather basic and the house/grounds are old and maybe could do with a touch up, but we actually loved that about it. Added a lot of character. Plus, the price is very low compared to a lot of other places in the area. 

The host Cathy was so friendly and even offered to drive us to the wedding nearby on the day - which we kindly accepted.
We also had a late check out to basically whatever time we wanted to stay. 

The grounds are big, you feel very private and we just relaxed by the pool a lot. 

Car is a must, it's not in the town centre. Plus, you really want to explore this gorgeous area.



Great Find!

A lovely place to stay with a very welcoming host and spacious garden plus pool. The view from the Couchant apartment on the first floor (second floor American style) is superb, looking out over the valley and onto the Ventoux Mountain in the far north.

The apartment's terrace is a luxury in itself: spacious, both sunny and shady and private. You can see the sun set behind the hills and houses, which are about 100-150 meters (300-450 feet) away.

The two rentable rooms on the ground floor also offer a view of the valley, though it is not as wide as from the apartment.

Oppède and surroundings are quiet and green, with tourists mostly visiting old Oppède le Vieux. Bikers also tour the area. There are nice walks up the Luberon hills, some of them quite difficult and steep, and walks through the wine fields and along stretches of forest, especially at the foot of the hills. The Luberon offers many attractions, for instance the hill village Gordes (very touristy but still impressive) and the red sand hills of Rustrel in the Colorado Provençal (5 euros entrance fee per car).

Quiet, green and spacious accomodation in an old country house

The accomodation was clean and very nice, large enough for 4 people (2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom, living room).
We did not use the swimming pool (December) but we took some of our breakfasts on a private terace.
Private car park very convenient.
Keepers were very sympathetics.
In conclusion, a good findings and a very nice stay.

A nice stay for my family during christmas vacation.

We had a great 3-night stay at Les Chênes B&B. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Our host, Cathy, was very friendly and welcoming, and we greatly appreciated the advice she gave on restaurants and things to see in the area. The location is outside of the town of Oppède, but is in walking distance of the smaller village Oppède-le-Vieux, which has two restaurants available. We chose the location as a base for exploring the Luberon area and it worked out perfectly. (Not far from Arles, Avignon, Orange, Les Baux, St Remy, Gordes, etc). We were very happy with our choice of a B&B outside of a big city! Breakfast was delicious, especially Cathy's homemade fig jam! We enjoyed chatting with her each morning. She also has great English, which was nice for me because my French is terrible! Definitely recommended!

Comfortable stay in a cute town

When our original BnB made a mistake with our booking and we needed a last-minute place to stay for one night, Cathy was SO helpful and accomodating! We staying in the little cabin, which was completely charming and comfortable. Cathy was so kind and delightful, as was her cute dog Enoch! We only wish we could have stayed longer.
