Location looking over cathedral is wonderful, with lovely old building round small courtyard. This must have once been a wonderful hotel but now badly maintained and managed. Bad water leak from ceiling in our room, wet carpet, dusty bathroom, only disposable plastic cups not glasses in bedroom. And the worst breakfast I’ve had in France. Mouldy apricots and grapes. This feels like management taking the cash and not reinvesting. I wouldn’t waste your money here sadly.

Fabulous location and building but badly run down

We booked a superior room on the basis of website images and stated specification and received something nothing like that.I suspect we were given a double as the hotel was fully booked.All rooms state patio implying each room has one supported by images on website  but that’s the communal patio at ground level.Room stated a view.We had a view of a kitchen extract and external opposite wall.We received room 10 which was very dated.Hot water tepid at best.No tea or coffee making facility in room and when requested they were unable to provide a kettle.Receptionist also confirmed they take the money off your card prior to arrival so no recourse to stop payment.Rouen is a very interesting place and there appear much better quality hotels at the same price.Try Mercury around the corner or Best Western.I haven’t heard from the manager yet despite requesting they contact me to discuss our complaints and experience.

Beware photos totally misrepresent room and hotel quality

Nice courtyarded hotel right in the middle of the medieval streets, Old but clean decorated rooms. Adequate continental breakfast. Charming resident cat. But, regretfully,  watch out there's a thief about. I guess I should have expected to loose a small antique I bought and then stupidly left on the sideboard at the bottom of the stairs but we could only deduce that my partners blouse went missing from our room in our absence.

Short,  bittersweet. 

Room was like a classroom with desk. Poor fittings and old furniture that didn’t match. Plastic plants in the room. Whole hotel needs a massive facelift to every single area. Corridors are poorly lit. Peeling paint. Just very old and dated. Photos on the website are very well taken to disguise all of it! No hot water in the basin, shower worked but as a mixer tap only worked at half height. Toilet seat was oval on a square toilet basin. 
Rude reception staff, asked to change room on arrival and offered another which stank of cigarettes. 
However, comfy bed and clean room despite the condition.

Not great

Simple hotel just by the Cathedral in Rouen. The building is very old so you get a real sense of staying in old Rouen with all its history. Family room was great for a night, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly.

Great value hotel

Very cosy Hotel for a family trip. Situated in the very centre of the old medieval town, at a walking distance to all the important sites in Rouen. There is a nice public parking close which made it possible for us not to worry about our car during our stay. Very kind staff...We loved our stay there!

Wonderful stay at the heart of Rouen

The hotel located in city center of Rouen. 
You got the big cathedral just 2-3min walking.
On the corner of the hotel you have a small supermarket which is very convenient. 
Lot of restaurants , shop and other thing just in walking distance. 
Absolutely perfect location ! 

There a parking like 200m away. The hotel cannot access by car as it a walking city center but you can park the car at the corner and drop your luggage which is like 10m from the Main Street.

Don’t follow google map . You will end up even more far in the block road. 
You can come along “rue de la république”, you will see “ carrefour express “at the corner and the hotel it just in the street ( rue saint- Romain ). 

The hotel is old traditional style , the building like 200 years old. 
The room was not that big but not small either ! 
It was nothing fancy but nice and clean. 
The breakfast is like 14€ or you can walk around there like lot of coffee around the hotel. 



Very nice location 

I was very concerned about staying here after reading these reviews but to our surprise - this hotel was perfect for us. Two couples, touring France in September. The location is central to everything in Rouen (you have to park a few blocks away but it was no problem). Checking in was easy, it has a very nice little courtyard where we shared a bottle of wine and some snacks our first night. We loved our rooms - very comfortable, nice clean bathrooms and enough room to do some repacking. The breakfast is served in a cute, comfortable room with many choices of food. We found no issues with cleanliness, location or service. We would stay here again.

Fantastic Location!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Horrible access no parking and in the seediest part of town. From a tourist point of view it’s the pits. Didn’t even have a hand basin in the bath room. Absolute rubbish of a place 

Tour of Normandy 

Good Hotel with pleasant staff (and a lovely cat). Really close to the centre and the sites. Parking is nearby and charged but not too expensive. The light show on an August wednesday projected onto the Cathedrale was spectacular.
