The hotel was very clean and really easy to get to from the train station.  The best part was the people working there.  I needed to change my room in right after I checked in because I needed to make space for a family member who could not get home.  The front desk took care of us without an issue.  

Great service, clean, near the train and the downtown

The hotel is near the station and the center, has a nice breakfast, comfortable room and kind staff. We slept very well , the room silent and also had a nice view of the square in front of the hotel. Very good option in Metz.

Very nice stay in Metz

Breakfast was great!  The staff here was very helpful - one of our party lost her purse and they helped her translate when she was contacting the bus and train departments.
They provided converters when we brought the wrong ones. Very helpful!

Excellent service!

Superb value. Great location. Includes breakfast which was good quality. 

We happened upon Metz by chance. What a lovely city so clean, well preserved and with such a great choice of restaurants too. This hotel is located a short stroll from the old town and there is a lot of car parking on street near by. The neighborhood and city feels safe and is easy to walk around. 

The hotel itself is old but that adds to the charm. It has been refurbished and is comfortable.  Note: Rooms have fans not airco - it is hot here at the moment and the fans are adequate to circulate fresh air from the open window.

Hidden gem hotel in a hidden gem city

Rarely been at a hotel for this low price whilst still receiving everything you would for about twice the price. For a long stay the room might be a bit Small, but for an overnight or perhaps 2 it is really wonderful.

Excellent quality for this price

Located in one of the famous street/areas in Metz and walking distance to the train station, le Mondon is an affordable, classic style hotel with excellent service and a high quality breakfast.  The hotel is on a busy street on one side, which may affect the sleep of some.  Easy walking distance to the famous Cathedral district.  Would return to stay.

My Memorable Mondon

The staff was nice, the location was excellent, got lucky and nabbed a spot on the street right next to the hotel. Not much more you can ask for with the price. Solid spot to stay for a couple nights.

What a solid location

The hotel was well located and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room itself was small but well appointed, with small fridge and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really good, there was something for all tastes and there were plenty of choices.
To sum up: excellent location, near train station, not far from center of town, good price, nice personal 

Nice, comfortable hotel with excellent, free breakfast

I came back to Metz to watch the Moselle Open tennis and needed a hotel within walking distance of the stadium. Le Mondon is only a few minutes walk from the station and less than a 15 minute walk from the stadium. Normally I wouldn’t give a hotel like this one four stars as it is a bit shabby and in need of a little  tender loving care but apart from that everything else worked very well. Staff were friendly, my room was dated but pretty comfortable and the breakfast was good. And at £50 per night this was very reasonable as the average for Metz seems to be close or upwards of £100 per night.
So, overall, an excellent choice for anyone on a budget and looking for a centrally located hotel in Metz.

Good value, central…..but a little dated!

Great location in this lovely city. The room we had was quite big with a large bathroom. Very clean and housekeeping came every morning. 
Breakfast was amazing and well stocked and served 6.30 til 10.00. 
The only thing that let this hotel down was the lack of parking nearby. We had to park our motorbike in an underground car park that was 10-15 minutes walk away. The hotel do get a 50% discount on the parking though.
