We chose to stay here based on reviews and so happy we did. Despite being 2 star hotel, the place has charm and is so well located. The lady that runs the place is the sweetest and the most professional person ever and we would definitely stay again. You cannot expect luxury but this is still 5 stars for us as service and the convenience of the stay wins. The breakfast is lovely too you get pastries, ham, cheese, cereal, coffees, milk, juice and boiled eggs, there are also yoghurts and lovely bread. We got spacious room that has everything you need. We managed to park outside in the street but there is also carpark near. Dijon stole our heart and highly recommend this place. 

Amazing place and the best experience 

Stayed in a triple room with a cot which was basic in decor but perfectly comfortable and clean and had everything we wanted and needed, as well as some lovely little touches including the softest little baby blanket for our toddler.
The owners are the most wonderful, friendly, helpful and genuine people. We arrived late due to pretty awful traffic and they were patient and kind, taking the time to explain where we could go for food and a short walking route taking in a few sights to unwind and stretch our legs after a day in the car.
Equally helpful and flexible with parking and leaving the car for a while after check out the following day.
It’s not a plush hotel by any means but it has everything to make a stay happy and comfortable and that makes it 5* to us!

Excellent! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

The staff were fabulous.  From questions emailed prior to our arrival and continued throughout our stay. The manager welcomed us and couldn't have been more helpful, suggesting things to do, restaurants etc. We had the family room for 4 of us, it was really spacious and although not luxurious, suited our needs for an overnight stop. Great location, a few minute walk to the centre of town. The breakfast was good and served by lovely friendly staff . I would definitely recommend and stay again for a stopover in Dijon .

Perfect for an overnight stop in Dijon

We were really happyto hace stayed in this hotel. Very friendly people and great hospitality. We could order our breakfast even the morning itself and the kids were very happy with the broad choice they had.  I can recommend this place.

On our way back to Belgium

Travelling to Dijon an staying for 1 night we chose this hotel because of its placement. In the middle of the city, near the old Dijon. Very close to everything by walk.
The owners are very kind and smiling :), very helpful. They speak perfect english, french and danish also. The hotel is an old building full of charm, far from all the new technology, you still have a key!!
Our room was very large (no 16) and well decorated with both view on the street and on the back yard. The room was very clean, with extra towels and blankets.
The terrace on the backyard is very pleasant to sit there and relax, plenty of colors.
Breakfast contains bread, croissants, different kind of jam, cheese and yogurt, butter, ham, cornflakes, cookies, coffee, tea, juice...
Birna and her husband are wonderful guests!
I recommand!
PS: the street was on repare and it was difficult to get into the street so Birna was very helpful and came to the very near parking place to give us a free entering ticket.


Very nice place

Delighted with our stay here - warm welcome, great room for our family of 5, portable AC provided which was hugely welcome given 35 degree temp outside! Lots of points of interest highlighted for our children along with good areas to eat, then an unexpected bottle of ice cold water on our return later that evening, which was hugely appreciated. Highly recommended - it’s quirky and characterful, not a flash 4 or 5 star pad, but the friendly Madame is just lovely and we will be back if we stopover in Dijon again  Thanks for a great stay! 

Wonderful stopover en route to the Alps

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay and we were extremely impressed. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable, all at an affordable price. The breakfast in the morning was good, although slightly limited. Overall, would definitely recommend.
