This was a stopover on our way home from Southern France and worked very well as such. We arrived quite early, so were able to park at the front of the hotel and were offered a choice of rooms. The one we chose looked out onto the road, but traffic noise was not excessive. The bathroom was small but well-equipped and the bedroom was comfortable. There was no air conditioning, which would have been a bonus in the heatwave, but the fan provided did a good job. Our meal in the evening was excellent, with very good wine at a reasonable price and breakfast was simple but good. The couple who ran the hotel (with help from the dog) were friendly and helpful. Overall, we were very happy with our short stay.

Convenient stopover, with good food

Expensive for the (low) quality. Uninterested owners which are far from helpful. Outside is messy and looks poor... Wrong recommendation. Horrible breakfast which was collected from remainders from other tbles. 

Stopover vanuit Spanje 

I was very impressed with my stay at L’Etoille d’Or. The owner was so pleasant and helpful. We broke down on the motorway and were towed to this hotel. We were warmly greeted even though it was late at night and the owner allowed flexibility in our accommodation given the situation we were in. The room was immaculately clean. The restaurant is beautiful although we didn’t get the chance to dine, we will be back. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. 

Helpful Staff, Great Location, Very Clean

We just stayed here after being towed off the autoroute on our way South. Wasn’t expecting much, but the restaurant is great, nicely done and really good food. It was really hot and the room had no aircon, but it was very clean. The owner is convivial, charming and extremely helpful (he gave us a lift back to the garage and refused to take any money). Breakfast was pretty good too. I would stay here again if I was in the area 

Very good food 

I stayed here one night while on a business trip. This is not a chain hotel, but an old country hotel, but on a busy street. Be warned that the owner.receptionist does not speak a word of english. There is also very little parking. You have to drive down a steep narrow driveway to get behind the hotel.
The rooms are very small and dated. The bed was very lumpy, but is was clean. Luckily I did not spend any time in the room. For the price, I would not stay here again

Country Hotel

Immaculate, generous sized family room (2 rooms in fact/ a bonus!) no problem when we arrived late, really friendly, helpful owner.  Great breakfast and good value for money.  The evening menu looked fantastic, shame we had already eaten!
