Lovely and comfortable rooms, with good bathrooms. No lift! I left my large suitcase downstairs and took up an overnight bag. This hotel does breakfast only. It was lovely cool oasis to arrive at on a hot day!

Great little hotel!

Located about 50m up from the Tourist Office and the Dordonge R in Beynac, this hotel was perfect for us for the one night.
Small room, but very comfortable and clean.
Dinner at the Pontet-Maleville restaurant on the river was magic.
Great staff and a very good breakfast sent us on our way nicely.

Booked as part of a road trip.  Parking is in public paid for places - it was very busy so we parked well out of the village but, as the ticket was for overnight and all spaces in the village are covered by one scheme we brought the car much closer during the evening.  Reception very welcoming, room excellent (not a great view but we only slept there!).  Took a river trip, had supper in the linked restaurant (book a table in advance at busy times).  Walked up to the castle after supper (and when it was cooler).  Really good and memorable stay - thank you.

Just right for an overnight (or more)

Right in the village, 200 meters from the river. Excellent service from the staff and a good breakfast. Good restaurant almost opposite.
You will need to know that you have to park just up the road and cannot leave your car there all day as you will have to pay. Not a problem.

Great Location

The Hotel Pontet was the perfect base for our 3 day visit to the Dordogne Valley. The staff at the hotel was helpful and gracious and the petite dejeuner was worth the money. It was a relatively short but fairly steep walk up the hill to visit the grounds of the Chateau Beynac and see the incredible view along the Dordogne River, beginning directly across the road from the hotel. We  were fortunate to be able to park in the 3 space free lot owned by the hotel throughout our trip.

Cozy and Hospitable

This is a sweet little hotel close to the river, chateau, cafes & main attractions. It’s clean & has a really great breakfast available at a good price. Has air con (not common in France). Really friendly staff who were very helpful with getting free parking 4pm - 11am.  

Lovely little hotel in pretty Beynac

Hotel Pontet and Beynac were a happy accident for us.  We had planned to stay at a hotel we had stayed at three years ago in a smaller town nearby but it was all reserved.  Hotel Pontet turned out to be perfect for our planned canoe, balloon and castle activites.  Even the one and only ATM is just down the street.  Liked having large carafes of coffee and hot chocolate in the morning instead of the stingy push button machines some small hotels use.  And the vanilla-chocolate chip muffins are terriffic.  It's true the rooms are small and the hot water is slow but you're not paying for it by the liter, so just turn it on 2 minutes before you need it and it will be piping hot.

Location, Location

Hotel Pontet is a small and delicious hotel in Beynac. The room are nice and old style,  Maybe the toilette a little small, but functional. I've loved stay in this charming place, having breakfast in a room with wiew on the village. Loved all.

Lovely room in a beautiful building. Excellent breakfast. The hostesses were very accomodating also.  Had a great stay in the hotel and in the region. Beynac is a beautiful town with an amazing castle that we walked up to. 

Beautiful location!

My wife and I enjoyed the calm efficiency of the hotel Pontet. Although very central to the village of Beynac, with the windows closed it was quiet and restful. Very close to the river and the Castle, all the amenities of the village were within a short walk.
