Hotel Serenada was great, the rooms were comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed, kettle, air con and  great sea views. The staff were great, welcoming and helpful - I would especially like to say that Sylvie who worked there and also did breakfast was amazing, she was so friendly and absolutely brilliant at her job. The location was perfect - Algajola is more quiet than the other towns on the coast - it is between Calvi an L’ile Rousse which are lovely places to visit but are more commercial and busy and we loved going back to Algajola where there were plenty of great restaurants to chose from The train takes you along the coast and is quite cheap but it is busy and on a hot day it’s much nicer to jump in a taxi with air con for a bit more money.  We went on a boat trip with Corsica and Boat - the hotel helped us book it and we met them in the next bay just 5 minutes away.   Transfers from the airport can be expensive, we booked a car for £108, even if you only use the car for transfers you are saving a lot of money in taxis of hours on the train.  We stayed in the annex of the hotel just a short walk down the road which didn’t bother us at all but one thing that didn’t impact us but might some people is that there is no WiFi there - only at the main hotel if you have teenagers it might be worth paying extra and staying in the main hotel.  I would definitely recommend this hotel and myself would love to visit Corsica again.

Great hotel

We stayed in the annex and it is important any guests with limited mobility be aware there is no lift  in that part. We loved the area - so relaxing and so much to see and do especially with a car.

Enjoyed our stay

It is the most desirable place on the beach you can think off. Your bed in a good room with everything necessary. DOWNSTAIRS A CHOICE OF "GOOD FOOD" RESTAURANTS INCLUDING THE HOTEL'S RESTAURANT. AND A STAIRS TO THE BEACH WITH FREE STAIRS AND PARASOLS.

The stay was very good, nice beds, everything was spotlessly clean every day, good breakfasts with nice hosts (maybe a bit more day to day variety would be welcome) but especially for the price it was fantastic. Hosts were very nice and considerate. Plenty of parking space.

Within 10 metres of the beach with amazing views if you have a room facing the sea. Staff are really friendly and helpful and food is great. Loved this place and wish we had stayed longer

Friendly and efficient staff

A very good Place to relax but  the hotel uncomfortable

We were booked into the hotel’s annex, about 120m away from the main building. Good bits first: Room was bright, quiet and immaculate, cleaned and made up daily. Very good bed and bedlinen (but mediocre pillows). Nice shower room. Very good sea views. If we’d only slept here 1 night, we’d probably rate it as Very Good.But this is a seaside resort, we lived here for a week, and the room’s not been set up for long-term guests: Inadequate storage (one shelf and no drawers), no seating other than the bed, a kettle provided but no cups available, no WiFi. Sun-beds are free to the (3-star) main hotel guests, but the (2-star) Annex users have to pay.Serenada’s website says very little about the Annex, does not mention different star ratings, and gave us no clue that we might expect the above shortcomings.On balance, not terrible but at over 100 euros/night room-only in June 2017, not value for money.

Annex could be better with a little effort

We stayed in a great mini suite directly in front of the sea. We were in an annexe building that a short walk away from the main building. The building itself is slightly old but very confortable and close to excellent restaurants.
