It was really nice to stay at Villa Renessans. The owner of the place Pavel is really kind and helpful. The apartment was really clean and affordable. The place is 6-8 mins far by walking to the city center. 

Great Service

5-7 min walking to the city center. Rooms are very clean, you can fell like home. We paid 22 eur for one night, price which is very rare in Ohrid. If you are staying for 1-3 nights its a very good choice. Owners are very polite and helpful.

Fells like home

Pavel and his parents are great hosts. The parents don't speak a word of english, yet in one way or another we still managed to get along. The apartment we got was at first floor (number 2). It was very different from the pictures we booked upon. Pavel told us that we had actually booked another suite but given we were four of us he decided to change the apartment. At less than €25 a night I still think its a good deal. Okay there are some things that need fixing despite the building is relatively new but ultimately you can't have it all. Above all the place was clean. Perhaps the most annoying thing was the bathroom. Its terribly small, badly laid out, drains were smelly and tends to flood each time you shower. Fortunately the unbearable stench we managed to control when we located an exposed drain underneath the bathroom mat. A bottle of floor disinfectant from the nearby store did the trick and at least neutralised the smell. I would say that by macedonian standard we still got more than we bargained for, and the hosts are genuine. If you're the fussy type of person you might want to seek elsewhere but if you simply need a place where to sleep closs to the centre, Pavel is the guy to call.



Great Hosts!

Hotel "Renessans" is a great place for your trip to Ohrid. You will get what you expect for the money you pay. It is really easy to find the place as it is on the main road if you travel from Skopie and Tetovo. 
The staff is polite and helpful. There is a private parking and strong Wi-Fi signal. The view is great - you see the medieval castle of the Bulgarian tzar Samuil from the balkony.

I recommend this hotel to everyone

The only advantage is the location, quite close to the crowded area. Outside the owner, no employee speaks English, it is very difficult to communicate, they are old. At the same time, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired, the smell of the rooms is at least strange, and the very old and degraded bed linens. Only the owner's courtesy is appreciated.

Unless you have another option

We were there for 1 night, in the morning there was no hot water to have a shower.
Also we got 3 towels for 4 persons.
There is no parking place, you have to park on the street. After check out, we said them for hot water, also we asked to leave car there while we go to the city and after we came back we saw scratch on car.
