This place is great value for money.

We arrived late after a 28 hour bus from Lima so were pretty tired. The staff were very welcoming and helped us order a take away before a much needed rest!

The room was spacious and clean, bathroom was pleasant enough with hot water. 

The wifi was also very good.

Location is a little far out but it is nice and quiet and everything is still walkable (20 mins or so to the Malecon)

Breakfast is simple but good enough - fruit, eggs and toast. 

We would definitely stay here again if passing through Guayaquil. 

Clean & friendly 

Everything about the stay was just perfect - very hospitable and helpful staff, clean and big rooms with towels, AC, soap and TV.
Delicious breakfast - included in the price. Just 5$ for taxi from the airport/bus station.

Cozy, clean and well run place!

Clean hostel, great staff, big included breakfast, decent kitchen facilities. $5 taxi to and from the airport or main bus terminal. Not close to much but the staff will happily call a taxi, direct you to a supermarket or even order delivery for you! 

Lovely dtaff

The Tangara Guesthouse provides safe, basic accommodations in the heart of Guayaquil, near the college, and about 10 minutes from the riverfront.  Lucia was a gracious host.  Breakfast was included with the room.  The small courtyard was perfect for morning stretches and afternoon reading in the hammock.  I would stay here again.

Clean and friendly

Actually most of the north of Guayaquil is not suitable for hotel stay as the airport is nearby and you know what that means. As a bonus, this hotel had a school nearby, having a very noisy celebration day. Even if the hotel is clean and comfortable, its rates do not match what is offered. Simple breakfast, friendly staff
