Clean and convenient! Due to the carnaval season it was very challenging to find something economic and in the heart of the city. The V-lodge was a bit hard to find at first, but I just called up the host his name is Victor and explain him where I was and he came to meet me and we drove there together. The place was in easy access of everything you might need, close to shops, bars and restaurants. The carnival parade was literally a minute walk towards the main street and boom, there it was! Dancing, music, a celebration of the islands culture and traditions. So exciting and so much fun. Through Victor I was able to find a car to rent at a reasonable price and it was so convenient there was a parking space as well. Very friendly and flexible host. I really felt a warm welcome and the service was very attentive. I’d definitely recommend the V-lodge to anyone. Thanks again Victor!

the place is really basic, but in the middel of the center. Price is okay. Little bit hard to find because it is in a small alley. You can't really sit outside. I would recommend it for a one night place but not for a whole vacation.

We looked for this place for over an hour. When we finally found it the guy there said that he had taken the sign down because he was painting the building (nice to have known before we droves around looking for it) the place it located behind other buildings and we met a lot of weird drunk people while we walking around the area looking for it. 
We spent one night at the v-lodge and it was noisy, full of ants and as there were no windows we had the pleasure of screaming baby's, yelling people and allot of drunk men right outside the door. There a to many nice cheap places in curaçao so don't stay here. By the way, it's not a lodge. We met up with the responsible guy, he gave us a key and we said that we were gonna check out between 10 and 11 the next day. We waited for 45 min. at the lodge the next day and decided to leave the key and slam the door after us. We tried contacting him on facebook and email but no response. 
Very unprofessional place. 

Hard to find filled with ants. 

V-Lodge are very comfortable apartments in the heart of Otrabanda, the charming and authentic "other side" of town from the more touristic Punda area. V-Lodge apartments are inside a beautiful 19th century monument that was restored and is well maintained. It is located in a small street just off a busier main street with clothing shops, hair salons, a supermarket and some local bars and restaurants. Take the alley towards V-Lodge and all is quiet. The building has many windows which makes for a nice breeze inside, and also on the balcony - where you will hear cosy neighborhood sounds of people greeting each other (and you) happily, mixed with the chirping of beautiful yellow bellied birds. There is an attendant, always there to provide you with fresh towels, bed linen, a bowl of sugar or anything you may need - or if you forgot your key. The apartement is basic and practical, the monumental charm, the urban surroundings and the breeze make it perfect. The bathroom is spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning and fans in the apartment work well. The kitchen is equipped with basic necessities. Outside (within sight), there is enough space to park your car safely, from here it's easy to go visit the many bays and beaches and other sights on the island. Punda is just a stroll from here, across the famous Queen Emma pontoon bridge built in 1888 and also known as the "swinging old lady". Don't forget to stroll around Otrabanda too, it's the original working-class neighborhood and the oldest part of Willemstad, and it is being developed to blossom in just a few years time. It's hopi great to walk through the labyrinth of alleys and streets with restored buildings in all sizes and colors. Your host Victor is quite engaged with the area, he is dedicated to putting his time and energy into the development of Otrabanda and he knows a lot about it.

Very comfortable apartment in exciting part of Willemstad

Victor is his name and he was emailing me back and forth for a few days. He was telling me I was to check out a day before my reservation. I showed up to this lodge and it was locked. Confused I started asking the locals around, is this  a legit business and no one spoke english. First off, this place is located behind another house/business and it's on the sketchy part of town. My cab driver even offered to wait for me as she was scared for me as well. I told her it was fine and after hanging out for a few minutes I heard a guy running coming down the street shouting my name and apologizing for locking up the lodge as he had to run to the bank. First off, why do you need to lock a lodge up? Do you not have guests? Anyways, he started walking me to the lodge and I asked him how many guests were staying here, he noted both rooms on the 1st floor were occupied. The stairs are deadly, to begin with! I could have broken my neck. They're more ladders than stairs. One was a spiral. Victor took me all the way up to the attic and said this was my room. First off the door leading to my room was located on the 1st floor which I could not see. So security level was breached and quite terrifying as it's a glass door and could be broken worse case scenario. When we got up, the mattress was on the floor, he turned on the fan and said there was no AC, no wi-fi (only in the lobby) and then opened the windows and said those were my city views. Umm.. I was looking at people's rooftops. There isn't a balcony as stated online and if you did get one, you're looking at the back of someone's house/business. There was also a dumpster towards the back and sketchy characters walking by. I finally grabbed my suitcase and headed downstairs as I saw Victor coming out from one of the "occupied" rooms. If this was a legit business, there would be staff on premise and he wouldn't have to lock the lodge up to runout. There was no reason for him to be in there. He started asking me why I was leaving and began following me. He then asked me to give him advice on what he could do better, but I wasn't giving him my time, as I could have been the only person staying on that property and possibly tried to plot in those two mins how to attack me etc. This house looks like a rehab property and they're trying to make a quick buck! Stay away! Victor also looked like a sketchy character and he was about mid twenties, dark skin etc. DO NOT GO THERE. IT'S SKETCHY AND UNSAFE! MUCH BETTER PLACES!!! My experience could have been worse!
