Host welcoming and helpful, very clean room, peaceful, even very cheap for such a stay.  Everything is nearby that's also a plus.

What to say other than that I had an amazing stay at Hostel Mare!

The hostel is super well set up, with a very chill, artsy, and green outdoor courtyard and garden. It's close by everything you could need, from shops, to the center, and attractions a little further out.

The owners truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and are full of great recommendations to really make the most of out of your time in Šibenik, whatever it is that you're into.

A big thanks again and looking forward to staying again the next time I find myself in Šibenik!

Fantastic stay and lovely hostel!

Nano and Katerine make the stay in Sibenik very cozy.The recommendations and directions for touring the area were excellent.Additionally, Nano wanted to dive and Nano contacted me and helped me organize the details.The morning café and conversations make you feel very welcome.The facilities are clean and comfortable.And the perfect location.Very recommended!!Thank you for this experience!

Hostel very recommended, excellent location, good cleanliness and very pleasant environment. Very good location and excellent customer service. As inconveniences would highlight the availability of a single toilet.

Quality/price =excellent

This hostel is run by a lovely local couple who really make your stay welcome. My roommate was ill and the owner made sure she checked up on him every now and then to make sure he was okay. Their friendliness and hospitality has made the hostel all the more enjoyable. 

The rooms are clean, simple and comfortable. There is no kitchen which was okay for me because there are cheap local restaurants and cafes just opposite as you walk out the hostel. There is a nice place to chill in the lobby and outside but no large common room or designated social area. 

This was okay because the location is FANTASTIC. You are right on the edge of the old town and you can step out and have an explore whenever you like, go back to the hostel to chill for an hour, then go back out. That was a real perk for me. 

The atmosphere and vibe is chilled, homely and social but not party. I made lots of friends here, going on day trips and for dinner with whoever I met in the hostel. It always seemed busy here which was really nice, but people were also considerate if you wanted to sleep. Perfect balance.

This hostel has really made my experience here fantastic; Šibenik will remain a very special place to me. It’s a truly exquisite town and a great hostel.

Really homely, friendly hostel

I love this city, so I choosed carefully where should I stay. I went through Trip Advisor reviews and decided to go here and was pretty much satisfied. The room was splendid, everything was cleaned and was on the spot. Helpful staff, modern rooms and hallways, and the place is attractive from the outside, and great location right near the center of the city.

Excellent stay

An excellent location in the center of historic Sibenik, friendly hosts, comfortable accommodation, a large reception area and a closed yard make this hostel ideal for shorter or longer stays. We enjoyed it, and we intend to come again.

Excellent location, friendly people and hospitality

We traveled to Šibenik and Hostel Mare in the beginning of February. We never go anywhere without our dog (cca 7kg) and had experienced cold dalmatian winter s before, so this were our top worries before the trip. 
But all our fears just disappeared when we came to Hostel Mare. First our hosts were great, the dog was no problem and our room was warm, because Neno called us and warmed it up before our arrival... 
So what to say, next time we travel to Šibenik, we know where we will stay  ;-)
Ps: Do go to Dalmatia outside the "season". It can be quite refreshing experience....

Visit Šibenik also out of the main summer season!

A wonderful place for a fashionable price. I visited Dalmatia in December for the Christmas season. I was on a trip with a friend and we came to Sebenico just at the end of the year. We decided to spend two nights at this beautiful hostel. It is easily located because it is practically in the center of the city. We were welcomed by Neno, the owner of the hostel. Neno is an example of real hospitality and professionalism. The hostel is really big and has several rooms with a different number of beds. We opted for the room with two beds and our own bathroom. The furnishings are cheerful and crispy and everything is very clean. This is nice with an equally friendly owner in a stupendous city place and I am a winning formula to create a welcoming atmosphere to come back absolutely!!!

What a beautiful place, what a beautiful people.

We stayed only one night, but enough to enjoy this hostel. The price is super good, and the room is not bad. The only bad thing is a bed that was a little uncomfortable, but it is still a hostel. The treatment by the receptionist (I can't remember the name...) is super good, very nice, and the woman who was sometimes too. 100% recommended!
