We stayed in the Uros apartment for ten days in September 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were a party of three and needed two bedrooms, but after looking at a lot of options, finally booked this three bed apartment on Villarenters. The price was reasonable and it sounded spacious and comfortable. The owners, Patricija and Nixa ( I'm not sure how his name is spelt but that's how it's pronounced ) will pick you up from the airport and take you back again ( included in the rental price ) if you haven't hired a car. Our flight was delayed by about an hour so we didn't arrive at the airport until nearly 9 pm. The airport is nearer to Cavtat than Dubrovnik, so Patricija was there to meet us and we were in the apartment ten minutes later. She is a mine of information and gave us lots of tips on what to do and where to go. She will give you her mobile phone number and you can text her with any questions. She had left ham, cheese, bread and wine for us, and she also cooked a local speciality dish for us and delivered it one evening a few days into our stay. Her husband also gave us a bottle of his home-made red wine (excellent) and when we complimented him on it he gave us another bottle to bring home.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. We have rented a lot of self-catering properties over the years but have often found that many other countries seem to have a different mindset when it comes to "self-catering" and seem to expect you to eat out pretty much all the time, and the cooking and food preparation facilities are often very minimal. Not so this apartment, as it has a good sized kitchen with a dining table to seat six, and a full sized cooker and oven, as well as the usual microwave and fridge freezer.
We did not eat inside however, as the evenings were warm and we ate out on the spacious terrace at the front of the property, looking at the sea view. There is also a rear terrace with seating and a barbecue, plus a second bathroom and shower off the back terrace.
The only downside that I could mention is that it is about a fifteen to twenty minute walk into town and part of the return journey is up quite a steep hill. We are all reasonably fit, however, so this did not really bother us. The view from the front terrace includes partially completed buildings on either side of your sea view, but again this did not bother us  -  20 years ago this was a war zone, and it is remarkable how much has been rebuilt in that time, but you will still find these partially completed buildings in many places on the outskirts of town.
Cavtat itself is delightful, as is Dubrovnik Old Town ( frantically busy from late morning until mid afternoon, with hordes of parties off the cruise ships ) and a boat trip across plus a trip around the walls is a must.
So, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we hope to return before too long.
