GREAT location, very safe, very quiet even if it's walking distance to everything. Cute decoration, very colourful, with 2 littles spaces to relax.. very clean
I would redo the bathroom, make 2 decent size ones instead of the 3 really small ones. Showers are nice and hot.

It is close to the center. The owner is nice..
BUT the dorm is close to the patio so you can hear everything and if you wanna sleep early or wake up late that is impossible.
WARNING!!! Sometimes the nefew Mike work there and he seems very nice and helpfull but it is just game to make people trust him 1nd he is thief he will get any occasion to steal your stuff.. be carful

Be carful..

The 6-bed dorm room was pretty average (although fortunately I only had to share it with one other person during my whole 5-day stay likely due to Christmas time), but the bathrooms were clean, and the breakfast was "more than basic" with a nice egg sandwich.  But yes, above all else at this place, what made my stay a pleasant one was just the nice friendliness & flexibility of the staff: letting me pay for the stay just on the day after arrival due to money exchange places being closed on Christmas day, doing my laundry for just 5,000 pesos (which is just less than 2 US$), and getting up early "before the breakfast time" & making it just for me so I didn't have to get one at the bus station after checking out (thanks so much, Luisa).  Just one thing on the downside here was that there were no lockers (so I just had to leave my backpack on my bed when going out sightseeing).

And being located in the "historic barrio" of La Candelaria, there are just many small streets (each a calle or a carrera as they are called) lined with 2-storied heritage buildings for some nice wandering around (especially be sure to check out this small plaza just a very short walk after coming out of this place, to the right then another right down Calle 12 B, with a small white church at the plaza's entrance followed by some "super narrow" street which is lined with souvenir shops, pubs & also some great "streetart scenes" further inside the plaza), although yes this I would say is "really not much" of a charming old town (as compared to those I experienced later like Cartagena's Walled City or the island town of Flores in Guatemala which just took my breath away!).  And also, past this barrio (by walking downhill along Calle 12 B and past that small plaza with a white church, as just mentioned, for about a further 10-minute walk) is the "big pedestrian street" Carrera 7 lined with shops, restaurants & sidewalk vendors which is just an "absolutely vibrant" street where turning left (from Calle 12 B) followed by a 5-minute walk along that street is the city's "main plaza" Plaza de Bolivar with also the "long & imposing" Catedral Metropolitana along its one side, and where just a short walk back into the barrio from beside the Cathedral are a number of museums including Museo Colonial (a "pretty great" one for colonial history) & also Teatro Colon (for a nice "guided tour" where you can see its main room not just from below but also all the way from the top level).

Lovely and helpful personnel, a cheerful atmosphere, and good showers. Also, within walking distance of Bogota’s tourism highlights in the Candelaria neighborhood. I had a great time there staying four nights.

Welcoming, cheap, and conveniently located

Rooms and amenities:
Like the rest of the hostel, the rooms are pretty small, but cute and always clean. There is a shared kitchen you can use to prepare your own food. The breakfast you get is always really nice!

Staff:
Luisa is such a nice person and it's highly important to her that you feel good and welcome as a guest, that's so obvious. She only speaks Spanish, but if you go to Bogota you should be able to speak some words as well in my opinion.

Location:
The Lima Limon is perfectly located at the edge of the Candelaria, which means it is pretty quiet but in a short walk of about 5 minutes you're in the middle of the centre.

Small, cozy hostel with a lovely owner!

Our two-night stay in LimaLimon Hostal was perfect, for five reasons: let me explain why. 

First, the staff is adorable and helpful. We were asked if the beds were confortable enough, and the owner even asked if we wanted to pick other beds in the dorm for the second night. We were also offered some hot tea, just like in a bar, because the owner prepared it for us, every day!
Then, the breakfast is good, especially the croissants and the fruits. By the way, if you want more bakery, I strongly suggest going to “El Nido”, which is less than one minute away. 
Thirdly, when it comes to the bathrooms, the showers are the best we’ve had in South America so far — and we just did two months in Guatemala!
Also, the localisation is perfect. Coming from the airport, or the bus terminal, it’s about thirty minutes — usual Bogotá traffic included. And you’re in the middle of the beautiful area of “La Candelaria”, which is probably the #1 reason why you should come to Bogotá. 
Lastly, attention is given to the details. The kitchen is clean. Security is a big plus, with cameras inside and outside the place. The Wi-Fi is good. The owner and his sister are very available via WhatsApp: you can find their WhatsApp number on the hostel website. 

Here are two minor points of improvement:
First, the dorms could be a bit bigger. 
Also, it’s pretty cold in the hostel. 

Overall, it was a great place for us: 9/10.

Great place 

I went too this amazing hostel with 4 friends, we slept in a cute dormitory, everything was very clean. The must was Luisa the owner & her brother, they were really helpfull and so nice with us... I loved it! And the kitchen is all new,very pratical if you want to cook your own meals ;)

Amazing!!

I was nervous about visiting Bogotà but felt relaxed when we got to Lima Limon. We stayed in a private room, which was clean and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They speak little english but between my little spanish, their little english and google translator there was never a problem. The breakfast is yum, and the hostel is always clean and smelling fresh. I would definitely recommend. They will also arrange airport transfers for you. 30,000 COP one way, which is a about 8000 more expensive than a taxi but there is no risk of being scammed out of money or being taken on the scenic route! 
There is a great little restuarant around the corner called el gato gris, bogota bike tours are a 3 min walk. I felt safe to walk during working hours but once it is dark I would reccommend a taxi in this area.
Also, limalimon have security cameras and check these before opening the front door at night time, which is nice for added piece of mind, if you're nervous about Bogota.
