Safe, clean, friendly and good prices. I ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was awesome! Whitehorse downtown is getting sketchy and I had my truck broken into at a business by walmart but I feel secure and don’t worry about it at skky. Also downtown hotels seem to have bed bugs but skky is clean and no worries.

Love skky hotel

Staff were friendly when I arrived around midnight. They called me a taxi the next morning and gave recommendations for where to see nothern lights around town at night. Free gym pass included which I used. Walls were thin and a baby crying at like 3 am woke me up a bit. You get what you pay for sort of deal. Was not dirty or gross. Found it quite cleanly. 

5/5 for a 3 star hotel.

Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet and comfortable with a king size bed. Appreciated having a refrigerator for storing snacks, etc. In short, couldn't think of anything major that stood out as a deficiency.

Very comfortable four night stay

Great staff very helpful. Clean quiet hotel no complaints at all. Would recommend this location to anyone travelling through Whitehorse. The restaurant was very good. The only issues I had was getting plastic cutlery for my dinner in my room there seemed to be some conflict between the front desk and the restaurant.

Passing through

I picked this hotel for its proximity to the airport, as I had an early flight out.  It is a 5-10 minute walk from the terminal. 
I had a room on the ground floor, which was pleasant, clean and comfortable; a great place to lay my weary head. Even better, there is an Indian restaurant on the premises so I satisfied my curry craving with a very nice meal.

Good hotel and curry

Overall experience was more than satisfactory. Rooms are very clean. Location is convenient to and from airport, however shuttle service was not available and hotel restaurant was closed. I assume due to staff shortages or time of year.

Clean, friendly service

Hotel is average. Clean. Very close to airport. Walking distance if necessary. Cab from airport to hotel is flat rate $ 10. Room was too warm. Restaurant is East Indian. Food was good on our inbound stay. On our outbound stay we were disappointed that restaurant had take-out only, so we had to drive into town to get dinner. Restaurant not open for breakfast. There are no other restaurants within walking distance. - For our second stay we were offered a 20% discount for on-line booking but this did not work out. Front desk staff was not aware of discount, or how to apply it. They were friendly and tried. We would stay here again because of proximity to airport.

Skky Hotel Whitehorse

Close to the airport. Lots of parking. Friendly staff, clean rooms with great beds and linens. Pillows are a bit too thick for me. I often don’t use the pillow. Excellent Indian cuisine in the hotel restaurant. 

Great place to stay in Whitehorse

Half-hour late in having our room ready for check-in; charges placed on our room account without our knowledge, fireplace in room inoperative and took 2 days to get repaired so froze at night, management is in Toronto so staff "say" there's nothing they can do to resolve issues as all needs to go to Toronto.  Cleaning staff most helpful and very friendly and room was nice but surely not worth the price paid, especially given the circumstances experienced.

Good, but NOT great!

The best hotel in Whitehorse. I normally stay for a few days when visiting my local office. Although the SKKY is not located downtown, it is worth the trip by car or taxi to Downtown. The quality of he stay more than compensates for the short drive.
