We had booked a couple of months before and due to the outbreak most people had cancelled not us we would have not got a refund so we decided to go and we were pretty well the only people in the hotel The breakfast was a grab and go Yogurt apple and two muffins bla but you know the room was nice clean and quiet we did get housekeeping the only downer was the minuscule bottle of shampoo for three of us not very big as my wife has tons of hair we did ration it and got some more the next day The people on the desk were friendly and polite would stay again if we had the chance and would say it is value for money.

Nice location just off Hwy 17 about 1 mile from downtown.  The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.  A full breakfast was included and was good.  The staff was friendly and very helpful.  We would stay here again.

Quick trip to Victoria, BC

Large rooms with standard amenities. Noticed how quiet the room was when Blanshard is a main and well-travelled street. good food in adjacent pub; 

Service was average with staff seeming eager to serve but were too stretched. It could be that the flu going around kept some staff at home.

The included breakfast was very good with broad selection of hot and colds.

Great sleeps and good food

The lobby was nice as were the staff. The room however, not so much. Our room was in a separate building that felt like barracks. We heard every single person that came in through the main doors. Our bed felt more like a waterbed - it was definitely not a bowling pin mattress. The bathtub had red mold around the drain. The room had a stove and fridge, neither of which were operable. The room and bathroom were outdated with the only update seeming to be laminate floors which added to the lack of comfort. The room felt dirty because everything in the room seemed worn and outdated. The lack of carpeting made us walk around in shoes the whole time we were in the room. Neither of us had a restful sleep and were woken at 5:30 AM to the sound of the dumpsters being emptied right below our room. Will not be booking here again.

The not-so comfortable inn

The bedding, lighting, and decor is all very comfortable. I like the way this hotel looks but not how it’s run. 

Beware that check-in time for this hotel is 4pm and check-out is 12pm. Some websites that you can book through do not mention this time. It was more than inconvenient for our 2pm arrival and a wedding to attend at 4:30pm. 

Most guests would probably prefer to check-in before the afternoon is over. I suppose hotels like this have these unusual times so they can employ fewer cleaning staff. They depend on the average guest vacating well before noon and would be paralyzed if everyone decided to stay until then. 

We saw people checking out at 8:30am and cleaning staff at work, but the rooms they were working on didn’t “have to” be ready for another 7 hours! Cheap.

Not as cheap as the breakfast though. Anywhere that you can exchange money for a breakfast item would be a better choice than this place. I had to walk across the dining room with a mouthful of “ham” to get more napkins so I could spit it out.

Also, the door to our room was hung crooked and left a huge gap at the top and casting light from the hallway into our room. Not a huge deal because I stuffed a pair of socks into the gap to block the light but the front desk didn’t show any interest in the matter when I informed them during check-out.

So arrived after check in time and all was well. 
The breakfast room is impossibly small and there is hardly any room to maneuver to get food and drinks. 
The tables are dirty and not cleaner quickly and it’s hard to get a table.  
We appreciated James for being pleasant each morning at breakfast and trying to keep the food supplies up and tables cleaned. 
Our room wasn’t cleaned until 830 pm yes I said PM even though we asked the front desk 5 times to clean it while we were out. 
We were settled in for the night so I think all they did was replace the towels as we never left the room while they cleaned and we had made our own bed 12 hours before. 
It seems like they are grossly understaffed and needed more help. 

Disaster!!! 

I booked this hotel last minute, we had a medical appointment come up quickly.  I was pleased to receive a fair rate, as Victoria can be expensive in the summer time.  Free parking and breakfast are a nice bonus.  The location is great, easy to get in an out of.  Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.  I wouldn't say this is a hotel for a romantic getaway, as there isn't a view etc.  But it definitely worked for our needs.  The pub was great for dinner, we didn't feel like driving anywhere at the end of our days.

Just what we needed

I like to stay at comfort Inn as I know what to expect. This is one of the largest I've stayed in.  Everything was good as expected.  My only complaint would be that the bedding didn't seem super clean. The bedspread had a stain on it and I asked the front office to send someone to change it but they didn't.  I also asked them to fix the room phone, which wasn't working when we arrived, and bring us an extra blanket - they did do that.
Breakfast was well serviced and the breakfast area was big to support the size of the hotel.

The hotel has been recently renovated.   Really like the vinyl planking rather than carpet.   Looks really clean.  Bed was comfortable.  Price in prime time was reasonable.  Would stay there again.  Staff were very friendly and helpful.
