This property has a great location on the beach..it is on the side of hill, (if stairs are an issue)..but you burn lots of calories, and get some exercise while relaxing!!
Ian and Linda have made this property so inviting with thoughtful touches like spices in the cupboards, plenty of dishes etc, and a nice barbeque area in the courtyard.
The beach deck is fantastic!!.. chairs, loungers, umbrellas all at the water's edge.
All the suites have fantastic views of the ocean, and the location is very quiet. Tons of wildlife all around, if you're lucky you will see whales and dolphins,a as well as all kinds of birds.
The hot tub is very nice and a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon.
Full size fridge and stove in suites if you feel like cooking up some tasty meals to enjoy on the balcony.
I'll be back!

Relaxing beach destination

We stayed on this apartment for 6 nights. The owners are very friendly and happy to help in any way. The apartment is situated up a very steep path which you have to climb daily for access to parking or the beach. So if you have any mobility issues this may be an issue. The apartment although quite dated is comfortable and has most amenities you would need. The bonus of the hot tub was great. I expect the views were amazing never really got to see because of smog from 🔥 fires.

Smoke spoilt the view

Beautiful location with stunning views!  Easy access to everything and super quiet!   Spacious suite and super clean!  Great amenities such as a steam shower which we used daily!  BBQ steps away… and then the Jacuzzi; which is shared with 2 other suites but it was never been an issue even though we used it multiple times a day!
 
The owner met us upon check-in and walked us through making sure we knew everything there is to know about the property.  Also provided tips about things do/see around.
 
Simply amazing to have a huge deck right off your suite, plus a deck by the Jacuzzi steps from your suite and then a beach deck (access via multiple stairs); we spent our entire time outside and felt like we were in a 5 star resorts.
 
If you are thinking to book this suite – we stayed in the Ocean Vista - … stop thinking and book it.  We have peaked into the other 2 suites and they are also beautiful.
 
We stay 5 nights and enjoy every minutes.  The pictures posted on the site don’t do justice to this place it is simply a little piece of paradise.
 
Best experiences: sitting in the Jacuzzi counting bald eagle flying by AND watching the sunset from the beach…
 
We can’t wait to be back again and again.
 

Stunning views; amazing hospitality !

This lovely vacation property offers a number of independent suites as well as a cottage for private and intimate lodgings right on the water.  The natural setting, including beautiful older trees, provides a wonderful backdrop for the quiet and peaceful suites.  The only sounds heard were the lap of the waves against the westcoast beach a short flight of stairs away.  The Grand Vista suite has a full kitchen available for use, including a gas stove-top (ideal!).  A hottub (using bromine instead of chlorine for a more pleasant experience) under a roof also overlooking the ocean provides for a romantic way to spend an evening.  

Our hosts were lovely throughout our stay, ensuring all of our needs were met (and all of our expectations were vastly exceeded).  Groceries, liquor store and some restaurants are near at hand - just a few minutes driving away.  

Come in stressed; head home relaxed and at peace.  This truly is a slice of paradise just a short ferry ride from North Vancouver.

Stunning View, Wonderful Hosts

This lovely apartment is beautifully decorated and it has an amazing view of the water and gorgeous sunsets from the deck. This place is super relaxing. Before arriving, I had made reservations for two different nights out for dinner.  We cancelled them. Why leave paradise? Lovely bathroom; well appointed kitchen; comfy tasteful furniture. (I loved the cozy little reading nook in the dining room.) Ian and Linda are marvelous hosts. This is a very special place taken care of with love. We will definitely return.

It's simply grand at the Grand Vista Suite!

My wife and our 4-year old daughter had a great 7-night stay at the Island Vista Cottage @ Beachside by the Bay.  Our suite included all we needed and more including lots of books and toys for our daughter.

Our very large suite also included a queen bed and a double bed, a full kitchen, very large living space with a beautiful view, and a deck with table, chairs and a BBQ.

There's also a very large deck on the beach which we enjoyed every evening during our stay.

The grounds and garden are very well maintained.

Beachside by the Bay is perfectly situated for making daily trips to the various beaches, lakes and other attractions along the Sunshine Coast.

Thanks to Linda & Ian for providing us a beautiful vacation retreat.

A Great 7-Night Stay!

I stayed at the Beachside in June with my daughter for a weekend. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The facilities were perfect and the views stunning. We enjoyed the new hot tub and deck. The beach access was perfect for swimming and launching our paddle board. Our  hosts, Linda and Ian were extremely friendly and helpful. Ian even carried our paddle board down to the beach and again back up for us! Linda and Ian were quick to respond to any request or inquiry we had.I highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a magical getaway.

Beautiful vacation spot

The view was all it said it would be and more! Our rental was all windows looking out to the ocean! We paid more for the panoramic view. The accommodation was ok, the single beds were not the best to sleep on...would bo ok for young kids. Very pricey as they do not allow visitors so entertaining is out! This was ok in the cleanliness 
, could have been better...but I am very picky! My guess is the coffee in the rooms must be folgers...would have been nice to have the coffee from down the street it was fantastic !
