Narin guesthouse is very close to Riverside, Royal palace, museum it's down a small allyway very quiet and friendly staff ,at around $15  per night , has no elevator but all rooms have Airconditioning and clean rooms .
They have their own Tuk Tuks and drivers waiting just outside the entry .
At $15 per night it's very cheap accommodation in the city centre .
It's a guest house not a hotel but feels like a hotel .
If you are on a tight budget then this is the place for you in Phnom Penh Cambodia .3/03/18

This is a friendly family run place in a little more quiet area of PP. The prices are very reasonable, the bathroom  inside the room and clean. They can arrange bustickets as well. The quality of the food is average. A fan room with window cost us 10 dollar per room.  Thanks for the wonderfully stay we had. 

This hotel offers everything a backpacking couple needs; cheap clean room, strong fan and a comfy bed. The guesthouse felt more like a hotel, and we were content leaving belongings in our private room as it felt secure. They also serve excellent food at a fair price.
Only gripe was the shower was quite cold. Would definitely stay here again.

After sampling one of the city's more disgusting accommodation options, the Narin guesthouse was a great find in Phnom Penh. 

I stayed here with my girlfriend, in a room on the first floor, which contrary to some reviews on here was perfectly lovely. Clean and spacious it was more than ideal, and good value considering the price (ten dollars.) The staff are lovely, very helpful, and the bus tickets and visa services they sell seem good value -- we got both our Vietnamese visa's and bus tickets to HCMC from them, for competitive prices. The food is not brilliant, but there are plenty of options within a short stroll of the guesthouse in the streets around.

As for location it is within walking distance of Tuol Sleng, and about a two dollar tuk tuk ride from the river front. The latter was not really a problem for us as the river is crowded and overpriced in terms of accommodation, and if you want to eat there (as the backpacker area there is more choice) it is not hard to reach.

Finally, the upstairs balcony is a wonderful spot to spend some time with a cold beer from the bar downstairs!

Excellent for Phnom Penh

Pros: the room was very cheap at $10 per night for a fan room. The room was clean, and there was a good shower with good water pressure and temperature. Mattress was nice and soft.

Cons: there were no pillow cases on the bed so the pillows smelled of other people who had stayed there. The breakfast was poor quality (stone cold scrambled eggs) and expensive. Very little English spoken.

Overall an OK choice for those on a budget but it could do a lot better if it improved on the points above.
