Stayed here for a long weekend in feb 2020.

Given the cost we weren’t expecting much but where pleasantly surprised 

I get the impression the apartments are privately owned so the furniture and condition may vary but ours was clean, generally in very good condition with a double bed and sofa bed which was fine to sleep on. Other in our group had various other sleeping arrangements.

Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided.

Bathroom was clean and everything worked as expected.

The bar in the apartments was large and a comfortable place to crash out for a drink after a long days skiing.

Around a 5 minute walk to the gondola

A breakfast option would have been nice to help you get on the slopes early but other than that I couldn’t really fault them 



Great value, clean and comfortable 

We love these apartments.  we are a family of 4 with 2 young kids.  The size of the apartments is great (You would pay a fortune for something like this in the alps!) and the rooms are warm and well stocked.   The location is excellent and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.   I have to admit that this year i did find the double bed not the most comfortable i have ever slept in (not sure if they have changed the mattress, but it was not great!)   but this did not detract from a great holiday.   when returning to Borovets we will certainly be staying here again.

(Its worth noting that, to get to the gondola station, you can walk around the back of the hotel and there is a path where you can ski down to it.  This cuts out the 3 minutes walk down the road in ski boots!      Also if looking to rent skis or boards then they have Hunters Ski depot on site which provide some great kit and make it easy to leave your equipment, rather than having to take everything up to your room.)

3rd time staying in these apartments and will certainly be back...

2nd year we have stayed here and location is great.  There were 3 family's staying in different sized apartments all in the same block.   Rooms are always really warm.  It's about a 5 minute walk to the main ski slope. Cooking facilities in the room are reasonable.  Only 1 main issue for us was the quality of the sofa bed which was not comfortable,  would be ok for a child but not an adult.

Good location

We stayed here on our first visit to Borovets.  We had an apartment which was great for the three of us and next door but one our son and girlfriend had a double room.  Both were large and spacious.  The apartment had a kitchen with fridge,oven, microwave, toaster and kettle and so was perfect for us to have breakfast/lunch so we only had to eat out once per day.  The double room had fridge and kettle and so was adequate for drinks and snacks.  Bathrooms both included a bath which was welcome after skiing, although the water wasn't always that hot, depending on the time of day.  

The location of the Flora is perfect for the baby slopes, with ski hire and lessons opposite.  Not too far either from the Gondola and all of the bars, restaurants and shops.  If we were coming back, we would definitely stay here again.  It is so warm in the apartments, the hotel has a bar and although we didn't really see or need much staff contact, customer service was good when we did contact them.

Just right for us!

We had a great time. First ever time going self catering. Apartment was clean and serviced well. Small kitchen with everything we needed to make breakfast & dinner. 
Apartment was warm too. We had a double bed and a sofa bed for the teenager. 
2 minutes walk from the gondola and 5 minutes from the centre of town (less if you cut through the back) 

You can arrange everything through the Flora, private taxi transfer from airport. Ski hire etc. The company who run them are fast and efficient at answering emails and dealing with any queries you have. 

Highly recommend them and would definitely use them again!

New Years ski holiday 

stayed as family of four. had two bed apartment which had 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living area.  if you want alot of space this apartment is ideal.  Although its basic (like all accomadation here) it has a fab location.

My husband and I stayed at the Flora apartment hotel for one week in Borovets, Bulgaria.
Even though it says 4 star, I feel that is 4 star Bulgarian style, rather than UK expectations. Having said that we would recommend the Flora.
The whole complex is on the main street, very near the slopes, gondola and the restaurants and town centre. There is a ski hire and lessons company ( Hunters) on site and we can highly recommend them.
Our room was on the sixth floor and was huge, had a kitchenette in (sink, fridge, small cooker and plates etc) and there was a balcony. The bed was comfortable and it was really warm and extremely quiet ( which I worried about reading there was a casino on site - but this was in the basement). The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice and there's a small pool with sauna, steam room and massage treatments available.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The furniture was a bit dated and flat pack, there was no safe in the room and the curtains were on a weird slant, which meant they didn't close. I had to ask to borrow a hairdryer from reception and sometimes the internet was a bit slow.
However, for the price, we were so pleased with our accommodation, it was central, safe, quiet, comfortable and warm.
The town is really small and friendly and the slopes are only a short walk away. There is a good selection of restaurants, cafes, ski schools/ ski hire places and if the weather is bad there are plenty of spas in all the main hotels. 
The resort has something for every level of skier/snowboarder - high mountains with black and red runs, nursery slopes for beginners and children and woodland for cross country skiers and snowshoe walkers.
We loved our week in Borovets and hope to return there in the future!

Great value central hotel in Borovets Bulgaria

Room was fine, comfortable enough beds, sizeable, light and airy. Wouldn't say the kitchenette is well equipped enough if you want a night in, but included half board in the already reasonable price is ok. Breakfast was adequate, cheap enough to eat elsewhere if you preferred. 

Location was perfect, everything you need. 5 minutes walk to the Gondola, just over 5 minute walk to the baby slopes. A little longer to the main restaurants and bars, but everything in Borovets is close enough. 

We hired our equipment from Hunters which were based in the Aparthotel Flora (confusingly similar name which mislead our transfers). Only a 2 minute walk next door though. You can keep your equipment there over night. Noting that if you want to night ski you will need to keep equipment in your room. 

The worst thing about the hotel is the staff. The receptionists are incredibly rude and unhelpful, we had issues with our key cards which at one point we were refused a spare key, or even being escorted to our room, it was shocking and abysmal. We were a large group and sharing key cards was difficult between a lot of us, however this was not appreciated or understood by the reception staff. If you are a group with any particular awkward requirements or a rather large group, then this may prove difficult for you.

Great location, terrible, awful staff.

You get what you pay for (not meant in bad way). 

Basic apartment in a rather big complex consisting of both a hotel and private apartments. 

The location is very good only 5 min walking from both ski areas. 

The breakfast as well as the dinner buffet is not worth the money in my opinion (I know you are not responsible for the main restaurant). 


Decent stay

We stayed here for a girls skiing weekend, and the apartments did exactly what we needed.  The rooms are basic but comfy.  Cleaned every day with fresh towels.  Breakfast and dinner were included and the food was OK although it tended to be a little cold.  We visited the pool which was small but clean and big enough for a few laps.   I’d recommend for a simple get away.
