We accidentally booked one of the non air-conditioned and non sound-proofed rooms. While the room was of a good size and clean, it was a bit stuffy and extremely noisy. 

It is on a main street with trucks and buses going past, opposite a bus stop where lots of noisy people wait for the bus well into the night.

It is close to the central park and the central mercado. We stayed Sunday when almost everything is closed, so the neighbourhood was deserted and looked grungy. (Sassavi had a nicer vibe with people on the streets even on Sunday, and is closer to the restaurants, so we are staying there next time.)

The better rooms are said to have air-con, sound-proofing and include breakfast, but I can't comment.

Overall wouldn't recommend the cheap rooms unless price is your only consideration.


Cheaper rooms not worth it 

I am not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in in my entire life. There isn't enough space here to type absolutely everything that is wrong with this hotel out. 

Here are some of the high(low)lights:

- noisiest hotel ever. I wish I could post a sound recording from the room. I am not someone who needs dead quiet to sleep, I go to festivals and sleep through music... This is just terrible. Traffic. Music. Motorbikes. Dogs. People screaming in the street. It never ends. 

- everything in the rooms is dirty; the towels, the sheets, the floor! The floor had to be the worst. Clumps of thick black hair on the floor. I almost threw up. 

- I don't even want to talk about the bathroom. The shower is gross, the toilet is gross. Everything is gross. 

I am almost positive that this was a dormitory of sorts. It feels like a mid 70's institutional accommodation of sorts... with very little that's been done to renovate. 

Just shocking. Please do not make the same mistake we did. The worst 3 days of our holiday by far. Spoilt the whole city for us. Scrape the bottom of your budget and find some extra money to rather stay somewhere else.

Do Not Stay Here No Matter What

We paid US$ 110 for this awful hotel. The location is good, but the hotel super old and shabby. The room was small, the beds worse than in a youth hostel. They didn't have soap or shampoo. No AC, only a ventilator. Will not ever come back!

Awful hotel for the price you pay

I stayed at the standard room, which seemed pretty nice at their website, but literally it was so small a single bed, a small table and my bag fitted. No AC and very noisy. Breakfast and service was ok.
Location is in the center of BH, which is dirty and feels dangerous.
Try to stay at another hotel.

Small rooms, website is deceiving

The room is very basically without any curtains.
The fan ceiling makes noise, the refrigerator makes noise , the bed makes noise and overall the street noise is unbelievable (very strong)
Avoid if you want to sleep.]
The breakfast is good and also the location (in the center of the town)
But you can find better places with less than 80USD$!
