Upon arrival we received a warm welcome with champagne in the garden.
Location: excellent and there is a 4€ flat rate parking near by! (Parc des Topiaires).

Room: great room, we had the standard room. 
It was quite big, huge bathroom with a lovely rain shower, that worked very well!
The room was a bit dark but we loved it, the nice different details just made it perfect!
Decorated with very good taste!!
We loved the wooden floors. But this also means it can be a bit noisy and squeaky at times... but it didn't bother us too much! 

Breakfast: very tasty, nice regional products, plenty of choice, fresh eggs and more champagne ;-)

Restaurant: the restaurant was closed, next time we'll definitely try to use it!

Service: friendly, genuine service! 

Would definitely go back if we went back to Durbuy.

A great find in 'the middle of nowhere' ;-)

We arrived later than expected and were warmly welcomed with a glass of Champagne. The host could not have done enough to explain the local area, even to the point of downloading and printing information from the internet. Breakfast simply superb with everything one could want, including a glass (or two) of Champagne. Next time we are in the Ardennes we will return to Au milieu de Nulle Part - fabulous

Great welcome and very comfortable

Beautiful place, great food, the loveliest people, the most amazing experience! We enjoyed every moment there as everything was built and decorated with the best taste. We felt we were not just tourists but we were guests among friends! The owners, Jean - Michel and Madelief, are the kindest and most helpful people we have met and we are so grateful for their hospitality! Thank you so much!!! For anyone who hasn't stayed in Au milieu de Nulle Part... Just go and you will absolutely love it!!

Just Perfect!

there was a note on the door saying that we had to check in at the hotel victoria over the road (opposite) nobody to great us at the actual placed we stayed. check in was simple and we were walked to our rooms. we were in the attic which comprised of a bedroom , a seating area and a bathroom. the original features have been left.

an interesting stay

A last minute decision to visit this pretty little town was a very good choice, made even better by this lovely hotel. The host Jean Michel is charming and generous, and immediately makes you feel welcome with a glass of champagne on arrival. The location is perfect, secluded from the crowds in the quaint outside courtyard, yet right in the centre of town. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the whole place wonderfully decorated. The service can be a bit random and chaotic, so for those on an agenda or who are impatient, it may not suit, but if you can relax and enjoy the (very genuine) bonhomie, humour, and generosity of Jean Michel you will have a wonderful time.

Sadly we cannot write a review of how nice this small friendly hotel is as we had to cancel our trip planned for July this year.

We had booked through Booking.com and everything was great, we received a lovely welcoming email from Madelief and Jean-Michael the proprietors, thanking us for our booking and promising a glass of champagne on our arrival.  It all sounded lovely and we were really looking forward to our stay, so we paid 30% deposit directly to the hotel via Bank Transfer as requested.  

When we had to cancel our trip, we cancelled the hotel through Booking.com and also directly with the hotel.  We received an acknowledgement so say that was fine as we had cancelled over a week prior to our planned stay.  However, there was no mention of the deposit, despite their policy of a zero charge if cancelled 24 hours prior to your stay.  So I emailed again, and again, and again, asking for a refund but never had a reply concerning the deposit.  So far I have also emailed Booking.com who have also not replied.

It is a shame to write such a negative review, especially as all the reviews here of people that have stayed at Au milieu de Nulle Part have all had a wonderful stay.  But fairs fair.  If your policy is a full refund, you should honour it, and at very least reply to your future guests emails.

Hopefully we will hear from Madelief and Jean-Michael, as we would still like to stay with them when we rearrange our visit to the Ardennes.
