easyHotel Brussels City Centre

As an older traveler, I became a bit wary when, the day before checking in, I received an email disclosing fees for things that I've always taken for granted such as an early check in, if a room is available and/or a way of stowing my large bag (I'm on a two-week trip). My worries were ill founded. The hotel has a storage locker, much as you'll find at any train station, for bags. And the front desk is very friendly. The facilities are sparkling clean. The room is comfortable, if a bit small by American standards. And the bathroom design accomodates its tight space very comfortably. I am impressed.The hotel is located near a very large food court that is better than any food court I've ever eaten at; it helps that there's a micro-brewery on site and a wide range of restaurants. A very shrot walk away can be found the full range of stores, crowded pubs andbistros that are typical of "old" Brussels. Though the train station is a short walk away, the construction, street closures, and generally chaotic lay-out of a picturesque old European street system can make finding this place a problem. Cabs and Ubers take a round about way to getting to/from the hotel simply because of the complicated street system. But now that I know my way around a bit better, I'll walk.
