Great hotel, great location, great breakfast. 
Hotel owner is very lovely. She will do everything to make sure that you have a nice stay. 
Breakfast is fresh and served at the cozy wine cellar. 
You can park you car in front of the hotel.

Fantastisch!

We stayed in the balcony room on the top floor. Comfortable room and the bed was firm but comfy, had a great night's sleep. Spacious room, and the balcony was nice, though the balustrade was quite low so you'd have to be careful not to topple over it.

Heavy blackout curtains were exceptionally good at giving us an unplanned lie-in.

However, some oddities.

Firstly there were no lights up the tight staircase on the way up. Bit dodgy when you get back to the hotel in the middle of the night!

There were meant to be goodies in the communal fridge with a 'honesty box' policy, but there was a handful of half-consumed things in there, not much actual selection.

The lock on the door to the room had no metal surround, and the wood was quite severely damaged so the door didn't shut properly and felt very dodgy when we left the room - as though someone had forced the lock. Should really be looked into.

But the real oddity which we didn't realise was the bathroom situation. We knew that the bath was in the bedroom - not a problem and quite a nice quirk - but the shower was attached to the bath too, but with no curtain or showerhead holder, so that made a shower impossible, but the bath had no plug for the plughole.

But even weirder - the toiled is behind a wall WITH NO DOOR. We didn't realise this (we booked through Booking.com and there was no mention of this - only that 'every room has a private bathroom' which could be disputed as it's all in one room!).

So if you have a particular problem with pooping while other people are listening, this might not be the place for you.

Also there was an air conditioning remote in the room but we had no idea where the air conditioning unit/vents actually were and it didn't seem to do much.

All-in-all an experience, which was fun and I enjoyed the city, but probably not one we'd stay at again. The owner was very lovely though and we wish her the best!
