We were able to have dinner here with friends and had the schnitzel, pommes, and salat! All three are excellent, the staff are very friendly, and the views are amazing. If you can get to Gurtis you MUST have dinner here!!

Amazing Schnitzel!!!

We could not get enough of this hotel. The scenery was magical. The hotel is out of the way but well worth the detour to just stay for a night or two. The hosts are exceptional with their hospitality. The restaurant provides some great local dishes in very generous proportions that are very delicious. The breakfast is wholesome and there is plenty of it. All the items are freshly prepared. We would come back again if we had the chance.

Superb hotel in a great quiet location but off the beaten path.

A charming property where we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel offered spectacular views, had a fantastic shower, big comfortable bed and was in a peaceful location. Breakfast was lovely, very fresh and a great variety, would definatley stay there again.

Wonderful experience

Everybody liked the food and the cider is excellent. Portions are large and service​ was great. The place also rents rooms and the views onto the Walgau Valley are excellent from the winter garden. Too bad smoking is still allowed inside the dinning room. 

Great Food and attentive service 

We had a wonderful stay and a superb breakfast. The room was typical for the area and except what we expected. We just couldn't have dinner, as on Tuesday the restaurant was closed. But we had a very good advice and with a short drive we found our restaurant. I'm sure it's also nice during winter time as one of the ski lift is very close to the Alpengasthof.
