We stayed at this lovely apartment, the smallest of four, but ideal for a couple, for 26 nights February/March. The location was superb, with views over the lake from our balcony. Our stay was just after the heaviest snowfall Austria had seen in 30 years, but the apartment was warm at all times and very comfortable. More or less everything necessary to self cater plus a very large comfortable bed, large bathroom with excellent shower over the bath and more towels than Selfriges! Christiane and Robert, our hosts, did everything possible to make our stay pleasurable and were a charming couple. We would recommend without hesitation and hope to return in the future.

A wonderful month

My wife and I brought our 17 month old baby here for a week and absolutely loved it. The apartment was really spacious and very well appointed, and the view was fantastic. The apartment is also a couple of minutes walk from the bus stop which can take you to / from Salzburg (bus number 150) and many other places - it’s really convenient for people not wanting to hire a car, like us! There’s a few small shops in Fuschl which ‘do the job’, but get the bus about 5 minutes back towards Salzburg and there’s supermarkets in Brunn where you can get most things.

Christiane was a lovely host - very welcoming and charming. Booking direct was a little tricky by email, especially having to pay directly to their bank account - which cost a small amount of money to do from UK. But I paid, it went through really easily, and it was worth every penny. 

The apartment is a 10 minute walk from Fuschl along mainly quiet roads, and just off the footpath that takes skirts the lake. Free pass for the village pool was provided, and very welcome. 

Would definitely go again.

Fantastic apartment and host

We have booked an appartment at Haus Wesnau through Booking.com and were given a confirmed price for our stay. Prior to our arrival we have corresponded with the owner who confirmed our reservation and price. We have paid the requested downpaiment which also included a transfer fee. However, much to our astonishment once we were at their residence, the owner - Christiane Wesenauer - asked us to also pay the bank fees the owner's bank in Austria charged for transactioning the money for our stay. This should be between the owner and their bank and not covered by tourists. Therefore, the final price of our stay was higher than the final price confirmed by Booking.com. We will never use Haus Wesenauer again.
