We were here for 2 nights, but it was just too short! Very friendly family, beautiful rooms and very good breakfast choice (regional products, homemade products lovingly prepared and served).

Its a family house,where you have the apartments.Great,helpfull people.The whole breakfast is almost homemade.Nice view on the mountains.They have a stable behind the house where you can watch the cows.The bed wasn't confy.Bring your own pillow.

Nice accomodation by nice people

We've had a wonderful 3 day stay at Wagnerhof. It's a beautiful family farm, with a lot of animals, flowers, and a mountain stream running through the property. All the local lakes, hiking sites and pastures are just a few kilometers away. The Dachstein glacier, Hallstatt and other tourist sights are also easily accessible from this peaceful and relaxing location. Astrid is the Lady of the Farm and she is the most wonderful host. She was born and spent her entire life in the area and so she knows every inch of the land and makes excellent recommendations which way to go, where to dine, what to see. Her soft boiled eggs, home made sour cream and bread are the best part of the morning. Martin is a hard working man and the children also have their little chores. It is amazing how the Farm is clean and well-kept. We recommend it to everyone who need to escape the stress of city life at least for a few nights.

A beautiful family farm

The rooms were modern and the beds were the right size, the breakfast with the local produce a real dream, the host family is very friendly, kind and super helpful.

Just wonderful.

We were at Wagnerhof for the first time and were enthusiastic from the first minute. We were warmly received and got a great (very clean and new) room with balcony and view! The breakfast was excellent - regional and homemade, as we like it! The family is very young, open, warm! We felt very welcome and often cheered for longer! Great starting point for hikes, quick access to the outdoor pool, Altaussee, ground lake, Hallstatt etc. TOP - we are happy to come back - and best of all as soon as possible - TOP!

Comfortable, warm and uncomplicated!

We spent one night in the Wagnerhof as an intermediate stop for a hike - unfortunately we would have liked to have stayed longer. The rooms are nicely furnished and have a private bathroom. There is a kitchen with central living room and in the garden you can use a nice barbecue area. The breakfast with self-made products is perfect and leaves no wishes open. Another highlight are the guests. The family is incredibly kind, helpful and made the stay even more beautiful - thank you very much for that!!

We stayed here instead of the high prices in Hallstatt and were happy we did.  Too many photo-taking tourists for us in Hallstatt.  We stopped at Bad Aussee and actually preferred it to Hallstatt with regular shops instead of tourist trinkets.  Our hosts at Wagnerhof were very friendly - including helping to find the easiest way to our accommodation in Vienna.  They have two adorable children - love to hear their sweet voices.  WiFi needs improvement and we were expecting a "farm" breakfast but it was same as most city hotel breakfasts - hard boiled egg, cereals, cheese, etc., but the bread was homemade. Our expectation for breakfast was based on a tripadvisor review rating the breakfast as excellent.  Nothing wrong with breakfast, just our expectations.  We would stay here again.

Quiet Family Farm

Last weekend we went on a family trip to the Wagnerhof (nine people aged 30 to 80 years) and we felt very comfortable from the first minute. Astrid and Martin are young, dedicated hosts who enjoy their work and the care of their guests. The house, the fireplace, the guest room - we have all five guest rooms - are all very tasty and comfortable. In the morning we were treated to an excellent breakfast.
