Thank you Kay for a lovely stay.   We very much appreciated your hospitality, along with the cleanliness and thoughtfulness that you put into the rooms and your home.    We especially appreciated the little touches - like your wonderful weet bix slice and taking care of our breakfast requests (even though we ended up leaving early to catch a 6 am flight).     

I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

Everything we'd hoped for and more

My husband and I stayed for one night at this lovely B&B on our way from Gold Coast to Sydney.

We stayed in the Family Room with one queen bed and one single bed, both with a firm and comfortable mattresses.

The wooden floor of the house and the wooden staircase are beautiful. The only inconvenience was having to go up and down so many steps with the amount of heavy luggage we had.

All beautifully decorated; Rustic and tasteful decor.

On the ground floor, there is a large living room with TV and comfortable sofas, a dining table for 8 people, a piano, an exercise bike, and weights. At the left of the room entrance, there is a toy house with many toys inside and a rocking chair nearby the door for Grandma to sit on while taking care of the child(ren).

Also on the ground floor, there is a guest shared a kitchen,  with a 4-burner stove, an oven, a microwave, and a large refrigerator. In the top cupboard are glasses, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, cutlery.

At the counter is available to guests a box with assorted teas, instant coffee, salt, sugar, and pepper. Also available there was a pot with weetbix. A cake baked by Kaye, simply delicious.

In the fridge, there is filtered water and we found a bottle of water in the room.
You can do your laundry in the same room; there are wash and dry machines.

The owners Kaye and Peter are very very kind and friendly. The attention and care of the hosts are noticeable in the smallest details. In the farewell, they have given us a Merci chocolate (thank you in French).

Included in the room rate is a fantastic breakfast. The day before we have received a roll to mark down the items we wanted for breakfast and we should inform at what time we would like it ready. Kaye and Peter strive to provide the guests' requests. Punctually the breakfast will be served: a perfect freshly squeezed orange juice, fruits of the season very sweet and tasty, the delicious hot sandwich, yogurt, pancake. The espresso was very good.

In the background is the Hunter River within walking distance.

The name of the B&B fits like a glove!

Close to the club and with great hosts and quiet.  We stayed on our way back from the Gold Coast to Canberra and it was very restful. We has a beer at the pub up the road on the river and then had dinner at the club across the road. We had an awesome breakfast with the hosts before we left on our journey. Would  definately stay there again.

A great B&B

Fantastic accommodation and excellent breakfast. Will surely return. Great value and nice location. Close to Newcastle and Port Stephens. My only criticism is the room did not have a TV. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

Stayed there in October 2018. Could not fault it.

Very comfortable bed!  Very quiet area!  Easy walk to shopping centre & restaurants. Hosts friendly & helpful. Loved the home made biscuit slice! Cheaper than the motels in the area --with breakfast included!

Lovely,peaceful garden setting for this B&B!

We turned up out of the blue around 4pm and yes, one of their two rooms was free so we checked in. Room was cosy and nicely appointed, with a very clean ensuite and a nice little balcony. The guest lounge downstairs was spacious and comfortable, with tea making facilities and a homemade slice ready for the taking. Lovely touch. We enjoyed this space, after having dinner in town, to which we could walk. A plus.

The breakfast options were great and presented beautifully. No gf bread, but then we did just turn up. My poached eggs with bacon, mushrooms and fresh herbs were delicious, and husband particularly appreciated his freshly squeezed OJ. The espresso coffee was hot and tasty.

The two bedrooms are upstairs, so you do have to be able to manage stairs.

The hosts were naturally friendly and welcoming. We know where we’ll stay if we overnight in Raymond Terrace again.

Tried on spec and were won over

This was my first time using a B&B.  It was far better than any Motel/Hotel I've ever stayed at.  The cleanliness of the place was exceptional.  The hosts were very accommodating.  Tea and coffee facilities with beautiful homemade slice.  I  walked across the road to the Raymond Terrace Bowling Club for tea which was also excellent.  The website shows pictures of a very impressive breakfast.  Well that's exactly what you get.  You won't need lunch.  Can't say a bad word about the whole experience!  I'd definitely stay there again and wouldn't hesitate in reccommending it to others.
