Got booked into the Sandy Point Beach Resort at the last minute and was given a 2 bedroom very spacious room on the 6th Floor with a beautiful outlook and right next to the beach, shops and hotel.
The unit was extremely clean, big bedrooms , big lounge and kitchen with 2 bathrooms, laundry. The outdoor swimming pool was heated at a constant 31.5 degrease which was brilliant and the pool was deep. Its a pity the resort has be sold off and all units will be sold off to owner/occupants. If I was rich I would bye one of the units.

2nd time visiting here and it did not disappoint,clean,spacious and friendly staff,photos do not do this place justice,pool and spa really good the lounges are very inviting,the gardens really need to be explored,there is so much to see,parking on site which is always a bonus,plenty of shops and cafes close by.perfect getaway for families

Value for money

It's in a great location as it is outside of the crazy Surfers Paradise mess, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the resort is an older building, however it is well maintained, clean, ample parking and good facilities in and around the resort. I look forward to my next Gold Coast trip, because I know where I will be staying.... the Sandy Point Beach Resort!   

A Hidden Gem

Close to all theme parks. 
Great place to walk and great views.
close to restaurants and pub. 
I highly recommend as place to stay.
Lots of playgrounds around for children.
Apartment big with 3 balconies 

Good place to stay.

Apartment ok, but the biggest issue is the lack of air con, especially in the bedrooms.  There is none. And the ceiling fans were useless.  I would not recommend booking and staying during a QLD summer.  Ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room of the 2 bedroom apartment.  Living room was the only room with air con.  And the sofa bed wasnt  very comfy. Lucky I didnt invite my family to come along, they would have been very unhappy. and cranky. 

A week at Sandy Point

Great facilities. Kids would never be bored. Across the road from the beach, with great walking paths. Charis Seafood 5 mins walk where they feed the pelicans everyday. Lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby..

Even though we were simply a couple, we could see that the facilities at the resort would appeal to a wide range of children, even teenagers. It is well located close to the Broadwater, restaurants and bus transport. We did not hire a car, preferring to take the Translink buses and the GLink tram everywhere,with a Go Card including the train to Brisbane. Just a few Uber or taxi rides helped with less accessible places.We were concerned that we would be arriving after hours, but that version of reception via the intercom phone worked well..An envelope with all the necessary info and keys was waiting for us in the safe by the front door once we were given access. 

Great place for a quiet holiday and for families

We recently had 3 weeks here.   We love this place, spacious apartments and so close to everything the beach, restaurants and shopping.   The staff are very friendly and accomodating.   Nice pool, tennis courts and other attractions on site.  The family can’t wait to get back there again and only 6 minutes drive from surfers and close to the theme parks.

Ripper place perfect location

We have stayed at Sandy Point several times.  The Resort has refurbished & maintained the property well.  We have always enjoyed our stay there.  Good but not great.  The location generally to the broadwater is good, lots of walking tracks etc.  Our main attraction for Sandy Point is CHARIS Seafood - 5 minutes walk away.  The place is expensive BUT the seafood is great.

Seafood Lovers Resort

This place was amazing! We booked because it was affordable and we wanted to save money by having an apartment where we could bring our own food etc... The rooms were really well sized with a bathroom and ensuite so no fighting over the toilet! The lounge and dining area were also so roomy and plenty of space for the whole family to chill out together or doing our own things! The location was excellent, located in the middle of Wet n Wild/Movieworld and SeaWorld and easy to get to surfers or harbour town if needed! Great cafes within walking distance which served cheap breakfast options! Great protected lagoon and playground if you have young kids and near to the beach! Only minutes drive to good restaurants nearby! Reception was friendly and welcoming and was great letting us know about the things nearby! They have DVDs to hire and lots of activities on site :) Would stay again happily in a heartbeat :)
