We had a birthday lunch with friends (12 adults) at the Courtyard Bistro last week. The area was clean, considering they are going through a renovation, and nicely furnished. Their food was great value for money, I cannot eat anything dairy and the staff was very accommodating, friendly and efficient. We had forgotten to bring a cake for the birthday girl - the manager noticed this and provided a fabulous cake within minutes (no charge) -exceptional customer service. Will definitely return to support good service.

A big thankyou to Vader and the kitchen staff for making our family night out an awesome night the food was great  and reasonably priced  definitely  a must  to go to if your looking for a  relaxed family  night out

Popped in for a bistro lunch , had tacos $18 and wife had  veggie nachos $12 , couldn’t fault , food was great , service awesome,and they are good size meals so go with an appetite , just started a new menu and I look forward to trying the  rack of pork ribs and the others look great too , will definitely be back

Had a great dinner with a group of friends at the Australian. Friendly helpful staff, with a great range of cold beers on tap along with Cocktails, Seltzer and Wines. Ate an awesome rump steak in the spacious beer garden. Busy venue which looked to be popular with locals and visitors. Great job. 

Dinner at the Australian Hotel Ballina 

Visited twice and a couple of things to recommend. Eat in the courtyard 
Chicken Parmigiana Prawn Burger but best of all Chilli Poppers are great 
Great value cooked fresh and not defrosted 
Save money eat local you won’t regret it and don’t forget a local beer 

Above average pub food

We stayed here for Budget accommodation, traveling down the coast without our trusty Ute with Camp Canopy. Being a Friday night I thought the noise may be a concern but the room is quiet and Bed was comfortable. Decor is old but Shared Bathrooms are clean which is more important. so what about the Surprise, we got in later than expected and decide to eat at the Hotel. The Menu is as you expect from a Pub so I went for a Chicken Parmi. I'm a Self pointed national Parmi Judge, over the Past 10 years rating Parmi all over the country.
9.5/10 > second best Parmi I have had in the country. It came out Hot, it's a decent size and it's all made in house. not the frozen rubbish. Hot but moist chicken and made in house Neapolitan sauce cover the whole Parmi. A little crispy cheese on the edge and Shredded ham from the Pizza range mixed in, I liked, some traditional Parmi connoisseur may suggest the Ham should not shredded and no crispy cheese. But I liked it cause it covers the Whole Parmi and slips down the side. So that's what is was like when I ordered it, hope you get the same. BTW Wife said her Thai beef salad was good too.
Staff were great, helpful and friendly and one of them suggested the steaks were better ???

Called in for Dinner on a Tuesday evening and was very pleasantly surprised. The venue has undergone a big facelift and the result is excellent with pleasant indoor and outdoor dining areas. The meals for our family included pizza, Spaghetti Bolognese, Steak and Chicken Schnitzel. All meals were exceptional, the Schnitzel connoisseur even stated that it was the best ever. Steak was cooked to perfection.
Also have to compliment the staff who were friendly and efficient at all times. A good time had by all at a very reasonable price.

Terrific Bistro for a Family Meal

Recommended by a friend. Doesn’t look much from the outside but the restaurant is air conditioned and family friendly. My little one had a ball playing the arcade games and running around the courtyard.
Food is good quality, large serves and really well priced. We had the veggie burger which had fresh falafel and the chicken schnitzel burger which was a huge breast of chicken!
Would recommend for a family lunch or dinner.
