The hostel is modest but comfortable, it has good common areas and is well located, it has supermarkets, places to buy cooked food nearby.The guys at the reception are very friendly and help you organize your stay in Madryn and advise you if you follow your journey to the south.

Comfort at a very high price.

Overall a good experience but there were quite a few things that brought the rating down to average for us.

We booked online and they had no idea we were turning up even though there was an email from them confirming it, it wasn't a problem as they had space and there wasn't a difference in price from online to their walk in rate but a bit odd nonetheless.

The dorms are also kinda weird as they have bunk beds and double beds in them so when we were asked which we wanted (same price) we weren't too sure, I mean a double bed is much nicer but not necessarily when there are 2-4 other people in the room with you in bunk beds, it just seemed a bit awkward. Luckily it wasn't busy at all so we actually ended up having the room to ourselves the whole 3 nights.

There were plenty of power points in the room, the wifi was good but the bed sheets weren't quite big enough so kept coming off so I was lying on the mattress directly every morning.

There was no cutlery or plates and the kitchen consisted of a microwave and a table to eat at so not best for cooking anything at all (also I noticed that some much older reviews in English said they had breakfast included but this is not the case anymore)

Also there was one shower/toilet for men and one for women in the building so in the mornings having a shower was impossible as the ones across the small courtyard didn't have hot water so they were always full inside.

It was however in a good location, 10mins from the bus terminal and 10 from the beach with all the bars/restaurants/booking agencies.

The one thing that stops me giving this place a 1 or 2 star rating though is simply that the staff were really friendly. They offered us to be able to use the room we checked out of to have a siesta for not extra cost (our bus was leaving in the evening) when we asked if we could leave our bags somewhere, we didn't take them up on the offer as we wanted to make the most of the day but it was very appreciated all the same.

Cheap, good location and nice staff do make up for other shortcomings

This hostel is conveniently located in Puerto Madryn, close to everything.It has rooms for all tastes, private with bathroom and also some more economical.The attention is very good and the breakfasts leave you more than satisfied.To repeat.

It's a good alternative.

Well, for those of you who know that I left in 2010 a couple of years ago, but the experience at the hostel was magnificent, we were given a four-bedroom, we had a bathroom and a computer nearby, the patio had a penny to play, the pass was wonderful! At that moment we dealt with Claudia, a genius!! The breakfast was abundant!! more than satisfied! the price was affordable.

Regression is a common practice.

The bed linen is provided, but you have to do it yourself, no towel unless you pay an extra! On the floor, there is only a common sld for 6 rooms, so you have to go out into the yard to access the other toilets! Not cool when it's cold! The wifi works badly in general! whether you're at the rdc or on the floor! Breakfast is poorly nutritious, a few slices of bread grills, a butter, a jam, no juice for those who don't like the old chaons... and the price of the room remains abusedly expensive services, no doubt it's for Fort Madryn who finally wants this old hotel!

It was a pleasant time at the hostel.The good atmosphere was great.In general everything went well.The double rooms with private bathroom are comfortable and affordable.In the mornings the breakfasts were plentiful and good.

The hostel is very welcoming and family friendly. The staff is really kind and available, ready to give advice on the various excursions. The very kind owner helped us find a place to sleep in Port Pyramides by calling herself to various facilities. The rooms are clean as well as the sheets and towels, it is located in the center of Puerto Madryn.

It's welcoming.

We booked at the last minute, because it was high season and not wanting to invest too much, we chose this hostel wrong because the choice was limited. Unfortunately, the hostel services are scarce and poor, our room was on the ground floor with precarious fixtures, very dark curtains, small spaces, light walls with little privacy, spacious bathroom, so to speak, no comfort. Even breakfast reflects the standard of the hotel, little variety and low quality. I think we paid far too much for what we received. I honestly wouldn't go back and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to a friend. We were awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of a siren, maybe the hotel nearby is at a relief depot.

No comfort, no advantage

We stayed in this hotel and ordered a room with a private bathroom, but to our surprise the bathroom was not in the room and we had to go out to the patio and through the dining room to get to it, which is not very comfortable and we knew we did not open it reserved.

No repetition!

I emphasize that in Puerto Madryn the level of facilities is not high, so take it easy and enjoy the landscape that is wonderful... The people of this place are very simple and as a result their hospitality is warm but spartan.The hostel is friendly and cozy, the Comideria or the room where you can have breakfast and consume your meals is comfortable and rather spacious, in the corner of the kitchen that has everything you need to prepare meals and snacks.
