Many thanks to Victor who helped us, the place we had booked and paid for earlier was the opposite of what they had portrayed and we couldn't stay there. We just walked into Victors' office looking for a place to stay and he made plans for us to be accommodated The place was nice, homely, spacious and he planned our activities and booked them for us which made our lives easier.

Nice place

Needed a serene and restful environment to unwind, and got just that. We took the self catering option. Pricey but managed to negotiate a 20% discount since it was low season. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable.I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place.I would give 5 stars were it not the need to fix small house-keeping annoyances that should be easy to fix.

Wonderful

The staff at The Guest Paradise lodge were fantastic all were very pleaent and helped me every way they could Thanks to Mr Peo.Its time the managment spent some mony on refurbishthe rooms like doors that have gaps underneath that allow spiders in plus .The bar need an up grade opplus abetter selection off drinks .The food was good the cooks just need a little more tuiton plus tea and coffe facilaties would not go a miss a small fridge in each room to cool drinks off .Was apleaent stay very nice staff

My stay last Oct at Guest Paradise lodge

we were a family , 2 kids, enjoyed the place, compact, homely touch. The rooms were decent, very clean. The breakfast was very good, nay, excellent on the 25th of December, however the next day, the 26th, they might have changed the cooks, not as good as the first.
My son enjoyed the swimming pool, with other kids. However,there is need to put a fence around the pool for the kids, its so unsafe.
And the mosquitoes were so many, we used the mosquito nets and repellants, but to no avail. The following day we had to buy insecticides  , and slept more peacefully.
Overally enjoyed my stay there,

Vic falls Christmas

The staff at the lodge were amazing. 

However the room was smelling of fumigation. The iron had a broken plug and the code on the iron had tape all over. Hot water was not coming out of the shower. The swimming pool was green was afraid to even swim in it. The breakfast served was rather dry. 

The place can do so much better. 

The place can offer so much more

When we arrived we were shuffled into a guest house across the road, which they call an extension. Unfortunately it does not have same facilities as the main lodge: TV in a common room shared with other guests, no Restraunt/bar, no swimming pool as advertised. For these services you have to cross the road to the main lodge a few blocks away. If this was mentioned upon booking we would not have chosen to be there. 

However, following our complaint, alternative accommodation (at Victoria falls deluxe suites) which is similar to the advertised main lodge was provided. The manager's intervention was most welcome.
