Very nice campground with back bay water access. The pool is nice and the trailer/RV pads are level with decent space from your neighbor. Also, the campground is located on the Pinnellas Trail and has easy access to downtown St. Pete and the Gulf Coast Beach towns! You can also rent Kayaks and the fishing isn’t bad. 

Perfect Urban Camping

We stayed in their Deluxe Cabin and say no more everything we needed was there, and had a deck out over the water with a grill, table with 6 chairs.  My husband and I brought our fishing gear and had a blast.  No we did not catch anything unless you count the turtle.  But that did not matter.  The wildlife was so wonderful with the breeze across the water, ducks, turtles, and white cranes.  The cabin itself is central air and heat and the air ducks are on the ground and blow up they work wonderfully.  The refrig is large, bathroom has alot of space and the shower worked wonderfully.  There are 2 bedrooms, 1 is a queen bed, ceiling fan and good amount of space to place your clothes, the other room is 2 bunk beds, so not a cabin I would share with another couple.  They also have a fire pit.  Property was well kept.  And we had one small problem and maintenance was there within 5 min and problem was solved.  We will always choose this type of cabin when we visit other KOA's.  

Glamping at It's Best!

St Augustine Beach KOA is great! We were in #36. Patio site. More spacious than a regular sire. They give you a table, 4 chairs, fire ring and a gas grill. The gas tank was empty. The pool was nice. The lake is beautiful. Try and get a lakeside spot. The kids went fishing, it's catch and release with artificial lures only. They didn't catch any, but I did see good sized fish in the lank. I watched an anhinga fish from a live oak. No feeding the ducks allowed. They have paddle boats but we heard that they were very hard to paddle. We did rent the banana bikes for the kids but they complained that they were hard to pedal as well. The kids are ages 15 and 6. There's a shuttle that comes around about every 1 1/2 hours. $40 for adults but they take you on a tour of St Augustine. We didn't do that. You are very close to St Augustine old town. We took the kids to the Castillo de San Marcos fort. I haven't been in years. It's looks like they've done some renovations. I have a Golden Access card so we got in for free. Parking was about $20..They have another parking lot for less money but it was full. We never made it to the beach. The campground has some traffic noise but not terrible. Otherwise the campground was quiet. The campground is nicely landscaped. Wooded and beautiful. All staff very friendly. We would definitely go to this KOA again. 

Great Campground!

I love St. Augustine and all it offers. We got engaged at the fountain of youth park and was celebrating our anniversary. Showing our daughter around St. Augustine for the first time! This KOA was magnificent. The people are incredible! It was our first time camping and was a wonderful experience. We ended up extended our stay another day because we loved it so much. It’s located off the road but tucked in enough where we didn’t hear any traffic or noises. We enjoyed the lake, the ducks and the nature surrounding us. Conveniently located to downtown and the lighthouse! They even offer a shuttle service that will take you there. The showers, restrooms and laundry facilities were very clean. They did excellent at keeping up with trash pick up. We, (well I) managed to lock ourselves out of the RV (both doors-it was our first time camping-lol). Maintenance was very nice and helped where they could. The pick a lock company was there in 15 minutes! Which was good because I was in my PJ’s! We returned home with lots of great new memories and will return as soon as we can! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Fantastic experience 1st time RV campers!

We stayed here in Sept after all the regular tourists and kids went back to school.  The campground was half full which made it great, and you didn't feel claustrophobic. In the summer when RV places are full, and you have a ton of kids around it can be frustrating.  We stayed in space # 83, patio site.  This is a great spot.  The staff is excellent. No complaints.  The KOA is close to a lot of tourist sites.  Mid-week, no crowds, Enjoy.  The facilities were all good, laundry, showers.  The best about this KOA is that it is close to beach and if you have a four-wheel drive truck, you can drive. Again, mid-week we had the beach to ourselves. This is one of the best KOA's in the system.

My friend and I recently camped here. Donavan was very kind and knowledgeable and hard working helping us get our electricity hooked up. Ivory was very welcoming at the reception desk and the cleaning staff was thorough! When I mentioned my appreciation for how clean everything was she mentioned the team effort of all the staff. It was evident they take pride in their work!

Great Staff and Location!

Having spent the last 2 weeks travelling around Florida with my husband and daughter, in numerous camp sites, this one, was by far, the best.

With individual bathrooms and showers which provided total privacy, this turned out to be the exception rather than the rule.

To add to it, we were on the edge of a gorgeous small lake which had beautiful wildlife and a feeling of serenity while sitting near it.

It had all the amenities needed and now, having finished our trip, this was the nicest of all of them.

Beautiful and peaceful with completely private bathrooms!

We stayed here for about a week space # 83.  This was a great spot, lots of shade, away from the main area.  The campground was very nice. the staff was nice. The spot we were in we would stay again.  There was space around us which is always nice. The new shower/rest room was clean and well a maintained.  the laundry room was very nice and clean also.  The cost was a little high. three to wash two to dry.  Did not use pool but it looked ok.  We enjoyed the beach area. Here you can drive on the beach for 10 a day, one section is only 4-wheel drive. would visit here anytime. The beach was great.  Downtown St. Augustine was too crowded for us. it was wall to wall people, but that's to be expected being summer.  Parking downtown is a nightmare. expensive, 15-20 dollars.  We plan to come back but never in the summer again, spring or fall, cooler and less people, especially kids. 
This was a very nice KOA, one of the best I've stayed at.

Nice Campground

We reserved one of the Kabins on the lake for a weekend getaway. We arrived a bit before checkin time and were able to get checked in quickly and into the Kabin. Staff had left air conditioning on so Kabin was comfortable. Was a bit disappointed to find no TV, but staff mentioned a thrift store across the street which had a small unit. Staff also mentioned about the shuttle that would take us into town to catch the trolley and also helped purchase tickets for same. Was surprised that pool closed at 7 pm as well.
My thanks go out to the staff here for our excellent stay and we plan to visit again.

Excellent campground to explore the St. Augustine area

Great location - close to anything and everything you need, including beach access. Pretty pond and nicely maintained. Pool is great. Did not use facilities but they appeared clean. Road noise varies depending on site so closer to rear is less noisy. Some areas sites are closer than ideal but overall spaced satisfactorily. Staff was very accommodating- including allowing us to choose a site best suited to us. Only con was the wifi didn’t work for us but our ATT data plan did, and well at that. Would definitely return.
