I have a mixed review for this one.  We had a very good time here, and the view was probably the best on the mountain.  Wonderful view and nice decks to hang out on!  If this is the most important thing to you this is a great find.

I called several months before our arrival to ask for an allergy cleaning.  We had someone in our party with severe asthma & dust triggers it.  I offered to pay more and they said it was no problem.  I verified again before checking in and they said yes, they did that.  The cabin was actually pretty dirty.  The counters and tables and toilets were clean, but all of the decorations and curtains were super dusty.  The showers were bad enough we went to buy cleaning products to wash them before we used them.  That was disappointing, its not a deal breaker for me but I felt bad for the member of our party with asthma.  

Expect bugs to get in and to be on the decks.  We had a scorpion in our cabin & millipedes and stuff.

There were a few tiles broken in the kitchen which was sort of a trip hazard.

We liked that there were 3 stories and we kind of separated by family, we each had our own space and that was lovely.  The furniture was nice and in good shape.  The hot tub was working and very clean.  Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cookware.  The washer and dryer was nice to have.  Wifi worked pretty good.  We enjoyed the games upstairs and the pool table.  

There are carpenter bees messing up the windows (and the views, because of this!) by pooping?  spraying liquid from their burrows? im not sure.  The windows had streaky stuff all over them anyway.

All of our beds had loose headboards that kind of started to fall over so we had to be careful and were trying to fix those every night.  But the beds were comfortable.  The AC worked well and the fans in the room were nice.  We all slept well.

Someone vandalized my husbands car while we were parked there, he had a few $1 bills in his cup holder and I guess that is the reason.  They broke his door handle but didn't get into the car.  I was advised to file a police report.  I would have thought it was a safe area but obviously there is some crime.

We were also charged after we checked out (I think it was $31) with no explanation or notification.  Its really not a huge deal but just left a bad taste in our mouths because we left the cabin in good shape and followed the instructions left to us.  We contacted them before we left about extra trash and they told us to leave it bagged in the kitchen, so we did.  The cabin wasn't left in perfect shape for us to stay in, so nickle and diming us for things that had to be insignificant feels bad.

In general, we had a good week and really appreciated the view and the spacious cabin.  The cleaning standards were sub-par, and we are aware it IS a cabin in the woods so we can deal with nature and bugs.  But they should have dusted the lamp shades and knickknacks.

The staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful.  

I don't regret booking here, but we will not be back because of the housekeeping issues.

Wonderful views of the mountains.  Very clean cabin.  The road in the resort was a wonderful paved, two lane and extra wide. It was really cool to sit on your deck and hear the locomotive blow its whistle from Dollywood

We stayed at the Nature's Nest Cabin at 1928 Legacy Road.  It was amazing.  Very spacious.  Two levels with decks on both levels, porch swing, rocking chairs, hot tub, pool table, air hockey table. The beds and pillows were so comfortable to sleep on.  Our teens took the top floor with the game tables, we took the main floor.  Both floors had a full bathroom.  This cabin is at the top of the mountain and looks directly west giving you the best views of the setting sun.  At night the bats would fly right in front of us. So neat.  The cabin was very very clean. Bring a travel pack of Tide Pods for the washer/dryer.  My only suggestion would be for them to have a charcoal chimney starter for the grill.  We don't use lighter fluid was it was all fun and games trying to get the coals hot.  Overall, I would highly recommend this cabin if you are a family of 4 with teenagers.  We really didn't want to leave.

Stunning cabin and views - we didn't want to leave

After finding a cabin search  to celebrate my daughter's birthday I just knew this would be the way to go. Especially,  after I chose a cabin and the FEES were added. $200 worth of fees I just knew this would be a top of the line place to stay. 
We arrived and noticed  at the" resort" the pool was at the bottom of the hill and it was outdated. We could not even use it. Who wants to drive wet back to your cabin? We then drove to the top of the hill and arrive at our cabin. Our surrounding cabins looked very nice outside we were excited. Then we came to our cabin " Lucky Break ". The windows were totly different, blinds were broken. We then arrive inside. The cabin had over grown vines growing on the porch, the counter in the kitchen was not clean. We wiped down with our own cleaning supplies.  ALL the ceiling fans had 1 inch thick of dust. The air hockey game did not work. The bed had several springs broken.  The sleep was not comfortable for the bed upstairs due to this. The showers had mild. See picture below. The rugs are old and have burn marks on them. I just wish this would have been a good experience.  I definitely paid $ 400 for 1 night. And to pay so much for cleaning fees and the cabin is out dated is very unfortunate. I did call to express my concern. They said they would send someone that night. They never came. But the cleaning crew was waiting outside our cabin when we checked out at 8: 30 am. I know nothing can be done now. But this was a lot of money to stay in a dirty cabin with a child who has allergies and sneezed the entire  time.

Will not stay again!

During COVID19 my Husband and Daughter found an amazing and beautiful way to celebrate my 60th bday in the absolute tranquility of Starr Crest resorts. We had breath taking views in a 2 story cabin with full amenities.

Incredible views from a nicely kept smaller cabin in Starr Crest.  Looks to be recently updated with new furniture and floors.  Great to be able to get away from the crowds and enjoy some quiet time in your own peaceful retreat.   Played pool and air hockey with the family, while others enjoyed the hot tub.

Absolute Tranquility Cabin

Beautiful resort with THE BEST views. Every cabin had a stunning view and the place was well maintained. The location was absolutely perfect! Far enough away from the hustle and bussel but close enough that it wasn't a hassles to get to town.

Gorgeous views!!  Very comfortable!  Nice cabin, very clean.  Easy making reservations and making payments.  There are a few things that need tending to: bathroom on main floor needs a new toilet paper holder.  A blind needs to be put back in the same bathroom.  The floor in the bathroom downstairs is very weak and the toilet wobbles.  All the toilet seats need to be tightened.  Also, !isted as 4 bedrooms.  There is a bed and bathroom upstairs but it's an open loft. That should be put on the listing.

Starr Crest Lodge Cabin

gave us refund for hot tub being broken the whole time after being rude and having guys come and fix it who were maintenance people at dollywood that were just playing the games in the cabin and never fixed anything. they never came and got our trash so when we left they took the 450 refund they gave us that was for them messing with us and being rude about the hot tub knowing before we ever got there that it was broken and never told us. they took the refund after we left dollywood and claiming it was because the trash was not taken out? when it was only not taking out because Saturday morning before noon we called for them to take our trash so we could get our trash outside and they never ever came. the cabin right when we got there was so nasty and dirty there was dirty all over my feet from just walking through the kitchen things that were broken were also charged to us that were broken when we got there like the tile on the bathroom floor and etc. all appliances did not work the fridge was broken. it was the worst time ive ever had and it was for my birthday so please just dont do it. they have hung up on me and not returned  my calls when i try calling about how our 450 refund that was due to their hot tub not working (which was the main selling point of the cabin) was taken out of my account only after we left all because the trash was not out of the cabin? this should be illegal and something should be done but the own owners of the cabin truly do not care according to the reviews i have read many people have had this bad service and i just don't understand why people above these  bum employees don't care about how bad they are making them and their cabins look.
