When I was in Pecos last week, I needed a place to stay at the last minute.  These folks were very helpful and accommodating.  I got a good room with working A/C, bed and clean plates and utensils. I realized later that it was a good value and had everything I needed.  Next time I'll plan better and plan on staying here.

Comfortable and Clean

Cleanest place I have ever stayed...and I've been doing the traveling motel living for many years thru 5 states and this place is by far the very best! Excellent accommodations great price and outstanding service! The gentleman who runs the place is such a great guy and so helpful...a wonderful experience all the way around...

Love this place!

First off, I never write a review when staying long term until I have at least stayed 30 or more days.I called Mark ahead of time before getting in to town and asked if he had any rooms open and to check the prices. He said he did and told me the prices, I replied with on my way. Now here is the actual review. The location is pretty much the same as you would expect anywhere in Pecos, Texas. It is out in the dry lands, in an oil field town. The room I am in was very clean, included dished, towels, everything minus your soap and food. The stove was broke when I first got here. I let Mark know and he was at my room to fix the issue in about 5 minutes. The laundry is a coin laundry, not free as other have said. But then again, when people tear up the machines; the facility is left no choice but to charge. I have personally seem people overload the machines. The parking lot is a mix of sand and gravel, but then again, we are in Pecos after all. The internet on the other hand, is extremely slow most of the time. Other than the internet being ultra slow, I have no complaints. Mark does everything he can for everyone that stays at this location. He cares a great deal about what goes on and he WILL NOT feed you BS. 

Now for the naysayers and the pessimists out there. For what you are getting versus the money you spend here is a good actually. Look at it this way folks...... Mark keeps his rates cheaper than other places most of the time for the simple fact that he is not out to rob people. Some of the pessimists complain about Pecos Lodging while expecting the amenities you would get at a place paying 50% more. If that is how you see life and expect the world to be, then go hit your local truck stop and see if your New York strip will be as good as it would be at Ruth's Chris. The truck stop steak is cheaper for a reason. This place is great in my eyes for what I am paying. I have been working in the oilfield for 23 years(foreign and domestic.

When in a bind and 551 miles from home some times the choices you have to make are not based good sense but on the need of shelter for the night If I ever return to Pecos chances are fairly good I would sleep in my truck first.  The lady at the front desk was awesome, and thanks to her I at least had a room, and a room with a working a/c unit  Because of the oil field boom in this area ALL the motels are price gouging, due to it is a captivity audience
The man in the hotel adjoining this property bragged to me he had just dropped his room rate to 209.00 from 350.00   what a rip off........

Over priced andd not well  care for property

If you need a room to stay in while working this is the place. Clean and comfortable. Bring a good pillow. Everything in the kitchen but an oven. First good nights sleep on this trip to Pecos. Only lodging no meals or room service. Steep steps to room door. Guy there is very helpful and straight up about everything. This place is NOT A HOTEL!
