We evacuated for Hurricane Ida with our dog. This was the closest hotel that was pet friendly. They charged a $20 per day pet fee. The lobby was about 80 degrees and musty. The front desk staff were nice and friendly (only nice thing about this place). The room was dank and had an additional dehumidifier (which pulled 1/2 gallon of water daily). One morning I got out of bed and step on a chicken bone. We wore our socks for fear of the filthy carpeting. The breakfast was vending machine pastries and one waffle iron. We stayed for 3 days for lack of other options. I am generously giving them 2 out of 5 stars for the pet policy and front desk staff that checked us in.

Evacuated with Pet

I gave 5 stars because we were evacuating and had been turned down by so many hotels because we had pets. We checked in at 1am and the staff was so kind and helpful. Room was fine for the low price. It was clean and everything worked. We were sheltered and safe, with hot coffee and a waffle in the morning. I was so grateful to have found them.

Genuinely kind staff

We had (2) rooms on the 2nd floor in mid-August, 2021.  Now, my daughter & grandsons are sick. The rooms had a musty smell & there was mold in at least (1)  bathroom. The pool area was so disgusting that the children weren't allowed to swim there. I found another Review that mentions the same situation that we experienced.

The first night we stayed in Room 203. There was a horrible odor in the room. The next morning my whole family woke up with severe headaches and nausea, which caused vomiting.

Possible Hazmat issues here

On 5he positive, the staff was friendly.   The hotel was dirty ,  carpets stained in both hallways and rooms.  Security door to the back was broke and did not secure. 
Room smelled mildew,.    Breakfast was horrible,  no fruit , no hot tea , no juice 
Had waffles you cook or packaged sweets.   Broke ice machines on 2nd and 3rd floors .   disgusting stain on sofa, would not sit on it!  
I have stayed in a lot of Comfort Suites,  not sure why they would let this property keep the name!

Worst hotel I ever stayed at,out of hundreds of hotels

The staff was great.. Room was clean.. bathroom was not that clean.. Pubic hair was in the sink and toilet.. ice bucket had mole in it.. but overall the stay was great.  my husband had no complaints but the ice bucket

Our family was traveling to Virginia from Texas for my daughter's wedding when my truck's transmission went out.  We pulled in to the hotel only to find out they were booked.  I explained our situation and asked if there was another hotel close by for us to stay the night.  This being right after hurricane Zeta had just came through the day before.  The young lady in the front found us a room for the night. The hotel had a lot of linemen staying there. The next morning we asked if we could leave the truck there and the manager immediately sent out a mass message to her staff to let them know or situation and to watch out for our truck.  I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality through this stressful situation.  The room was great as well!

Emergency Stay

Pleased with stay overall. But got very pricey on weekend of Cruisin the Coast. Handicap access to hotel is a big issue. They have automatic door on front of building but NO parking there! Parking in rear of building. That door is manual and very difficult using a walker or wheel chair !!!!!  Hotel is a little out of the way but away from all the traffic in staying in Gulfport. I will stay again. Overnight desk clerk is very pleasant!

Good stay but Handicap issues!

Stopped for quick overnight on the way to Mobile.  Excellent price and everything in the room worked so no complaints.  Nothing bad, nothing outstanding.....just what you expect from a Comfort Inn.  Due to Covid they breakfast was just coffee, juice and prepackaged pastry....just like most of the other CI and Quality Inns I have stayed over the last month.  I did thing the price was excellent being so close to the beach type area.

Average Comfort Inn

I was looking for a hotel with an indoor pool for a decent price and came across this hotel.  Check in was really easy, and they had complimentary cookies at the front desk.  The indoor pool was great, we were the only ones in the pool.  The room was nice, had a fridge and microwave.  The bathroom could have used some remodeling.  The grout around the tub was in serious need of cleaning.  There were a few minor repairs the room could have used.  The one thing I didn’t like about the room was that the bathroom vanity was in the room, so I had to turn on the light to get ready which woke my family up.  The breakfast area needs more tables or more space because it was super crowded at 8am on a Saturday morning.  It’s not the best place I have ever stayed at, but I would stay again.

Not bad for the price.

Front desk staff was great ! Entry to building is not kind to handicapped people. Front lobby entry has automatic door but NO extended parking. Parking is in rear of motel with no automatic doors to enter building which causes major problems for people with walkers or wheel chairs. HC rooms were good once in the building. Good bed but really small pillows. Good internet,tv and shower. Quiet motel. Location little out of the way for beach and casinos, but no heavy traffic getting to and from. Great breakfast. Very clean place. Well lighted outside at night.
