We have just spent a weekend at South View and had an excellent experience. Superb location close to all shops and bars. Superb hosts and really enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. It was the hosts last weekend of running the B & b and what a shame we hadn't found this place sooner. great value for money. Good luck with your new adventure ... Fantastic stay

I am incredibly impressed with this gorgeous B and B. After ending up travelling alone, the owners could not have been more helpful and friendly- even looking at ways to get to the hotel in the most efficient way. The room was beautiful and spotless and the breakfast was incredible! The location was perfectly central, and I was really touched that the owners were even offering to print out route maps to help make my solo travel more enjoyable. Without a shadow of a doubt, when I return to Windermere, I will stay here. Many thanks for making my trip so enjoyable and easy.

The perfect place for an idyllic getaway

Accommodating and friendly we felt very welcome. Rooms were well furnished and met all our needs (aside from a less than reliable internet connection- for tv not phones/iPad). Pool a particular benefit for the benefit of the baby and being able to use it to ourselves a nice bonus. Breakfast a pleasant surprise- our first in an exclusively vegetarian establishment. Hot, fresh and quick. 

Only downside is the parking. Being there on a busy weekend meant moving or reparking on 3 occasions. I appreciate the difficulty for the owners but it is an incumberance when plans can be difficult to fix on a weekend away. 

Overall, didn’t limit our enjoyment or stay.

Accommodating and friendly

Had a fabulous weekend at South View, lovely comfortable room with spacious en suite and multi jet shower! We really enjoyed the luxury of having access to the lovely pool which you book out so you get it all to yourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with private parking. A real gem in Windermere, would definitely return - thank you

Great location with a lovely swimming pool

We spent 4 lovely nights here. The owners are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and the bed in our room was very comfy! The room also came with a spa bath ( very welcomed after a day hiking ). It’s a vegetarian/vegan guest house and the breakfast spread is amazing! Pancakes, croissants, cereals, fresh fruits bowls, vegan cheese, dried fruits, coffee, tea, flavoured teas. The property has an indoor swimming pool, the location is perfect if you’re travelling by train, it’s s 5mins from the station. Shops, pubs, restaurants are literally just round the corner but you’ll not hear anything other than birds singing in the morning/evening. I’d highly recommend stopping at the guest house, we really enjoyed our stay. Especially if you’re vegan or vegetarian .

Stayed here for 6 days.hotel spotless had our own balcony. In the Kings room .and a swimming 🏊‍♀️. Photo on the way .food prepared perfectly. Bar open all nite .just help yourself 2 the booze. There is every drink. You can na.e and draft 🍺. Just write your room number. In the book on the bar .and pay at the end of your stay. (Owners our so laid back. ) And so polite and friendly.. so honestly is put in your hands. So please don't act. As if you were  brought up in the G----R.

Holiday 

Stayed here for a friday to sunday little break away jan 2022, the hosts where welcoming and helpful, lovely breakfast and even had it brought to our room on the second morning so we could relax, had a nice dip in the pool too, booked via booking.com but we will go direct to southview next time. Had a lovely large comfy bed and room was kept nice and warm, we also had a jet spa bath and shower. Would return again. 

NICE LITTLE WEEKEND BREAK

Upon Arrival we were shown to our Room by Kate the owner and it was a Lovely Bright room with all needed for a Pleasant Stay Even Bought us Homemade Carrot Cake and fresh Milk , The Swimming Pool is Superb and With Covid Restrictions Meant we had it to Ourselves Nice and warm , Then Breakfast is Freshly Cooked with a choice of Hot , I opted for Poached Eggs which were Very Good and a great Choice of Other Breakfast Foods . The Owners Can't do enough For you with any Little Snag soon Sorted , All In All A Great Choice of a Place to stay *****

Home from Home

Throughout our 3 night stay Kate and Barry were so welcoming and helpful, a delightful couple. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and set us up for the day ahead.  Having the use of their pool for our own 45 minute slot was a real bonus for us.  The bedroom was very comfortable and facilities absolutely immaculate.  Southview is also in an ideal location, very peaceful at the end of a cul-de-sac but close to the rail/bus station and town centre.  We will definitely be back and have already highly recommended it to friends and family!

Delightful

We stayed here on a wet and miserable night. Welcome was friendly. Bedroom was warm and comfortable with an amazing hot shower and lovely toiletries.
There is an honesty bar so we enjoyed a gin and tonic before heading out to eat.
Very quiet overnight. Wonderful breakfast with lots of vegan choice.
