We booked this and were really pleased at how they handled it all.

They communicated so well with us and were quick to respond, and the venue is lovely inside.

The staff could not do enough to make it a special moment for us, extremely caring, considerate and nothing was too much trouble.

The buffet was amazing and everyone said how lovely it had been considering the occasion - they helped to make it a nice day to remember.

Definitely would recommend over and over.

We’ve recently spent a  very enjoyable time at Whaplode Manor for my son’s wedding.Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, their organisation was amazing, the venue perfect and food delicious.Rooms very comfortable and clean.

Wedding venue

We chose Whaplode as our wedding venue and never regretted it right from the start. The Team were incredibly helpful and helped with the  smooth running of our big day. The food was great, the setting was ideal and the night was a fantastic evening. The bedrooms were great value and did everything you would want it to. There were en-suite showers and digital tv and was very clean and tidy. Would defo recommend either staying or using it as a venue.

Whaplode Wedding stay review.

Mixed feelings really about this place.
I stayed here for 2 nights, it is literally in the middle of no where - which is not good if you want something to eat/drink.
Holbeach centre (if you can call it that), is the nearest place to get anything to eat/drink, and that is about 2 and a half miles away.
As it is A roads and country roads, anywhere and everywhere you go is not recommended on foot, so drive or taxi.
When you enter Whaplode Manor, the grounds are covered with stones, again, not ideal as a choice of surface.
The room itself was nicely presented, i would of preferred a double bed rather then two singles ( i had to push them together), and the fact you have a fridge in there is a nice touch and very much welcome. 
Along with this, you have the usual kettle and coffee/tea and a wall mounted tv. 
Upon check-in, the reception was closed (its not manned), just a note on the door stating what room was allocated to whom. The rooms were unlocked and your room key was waiting for you on the table in the room.
Not an ideal way to check in but, its different i guess.
You have a bay outside your room, ample room for you to park your vehicle.
I found the room door to be quite stiff and not that easy to lock.
The extractor fan in the bathroom was noisy, noisier than what it should be, it stayed on for about 25 minutes after i switched the bathroom light off which i thought was strange. 
There was also a number of cobwebs in the bathroom, which i feel could of been dusted up.
I do not know what the cleaning policy is at this place but the room was not cleaned either, at the very least my overfilled bin could of been emptied.
An apart from being awoken at 5.30am by the crying kid in the next room, the overall stay was ok. It was peaceful, and there is some nice countryside around there, it was nice to see the sun setting behind the tree in front of my room - the highlight of my entire stay!
But as far as location goes, if you are like me, wanting that nearby country pub within a stones throw walk to go to on an late afternoon/evening, then this is not the place for you.
Holbeach centre which is about 2 and a half miles away doesn't offer much, Spalding which is about 8 miles away offers a little more.
When i went to check out, which is 11am, i went to the reception to hand my key in, but again, it was locked, with the same check in note on the door from two days previous, so as there was nothing stating what to do with regards to checking out, i just assumed you left things how you found them - by leaving the key in the room.
I think this is quite poor customer service and very lazy. 


More Negatives Than Positives Unfortunately.

Lovely romantic get away 
Clean accommodation- easy self check in. Super powerful shower. Yes it’s out of the way but that worked for us. Lovely courtyard with seating round the back. Where we sat and shared a bottle of wine or two. We stayed midweek so no weddings were happening. It is a beautifully manor and grounds. We stayed in the converted stables.

Romantic get away

We were very pleased with our stay in the stables at Whaplode Manor.  We were there for 5 nights the accommodation was comfortable and clean.  The location was rural so a car is essential. It was very quiet and peaceful which suited us.
We would definitely stay again we had a lovely birthday break

You will not be disappointed, great location and great service. The Chapman family make sure you feel at ease throught you stay. 
I couldn't recommend enough, you will not be disappointed everything was just right.

Amazing place with amazing owners

This was probably the best wedding I have attended. Whaplode Manor was everything a wedding venue should be and, is a huge credit to the very friendly family who own and run it. Everything was done with the minimal amount of fuss, a very high degree of professionalism and with seamless transition throughout the day. Nothing was too much trouble and returning the next morning for breakfast was another treat. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Cant wait for another visit which will perhaps, be another wedding. Spot on 10/10.

Wedding Reception

Booked The Stables at Whaplode Manor a couple of days prior to our visit and had the double room.
Reception closed when we arrived but i'd read what to expect and got in the room. Such a lovely room and have already recommended it to friends, a couple of which are looking to go.
Bed was comfy (even fell back asleep after my alarm to get up for checkout!! sorry), and with the wall lights on it's a lovely cosy room. Great to have a fridge, cutlery, plates/bowls, and plenty of tea and coffee.
Nice size bathroom with plenty of towels, and a lovely deep bath.
Despite being so close to the A17 we found it very quiet and were able to relax away from life even if just for one night.

Just a quiet night away

Absolutely lovely venue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wonderful garden we enjoyed as the weather was perfect. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Hog roast and buffet was plentiful. Nothing too much trouble. Thank you for a great day.
