We had a late summer break in Torquay and chose to stay at the Cranborne, using the positive reviews by previous guests.  We were really treated like members of the family by Mandy and Sharon, who go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is both informative and enjoyable.

The rooms are extremely well decorated, comfortable, and clean.

They serve the most delicious breakfasts, using the best ingredients, and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The hotel is situated some 10-15 mins walk from the town centre, which is very pleasant if you take the promenade route around the harbour.

We will definitely return in the future.

Amazing stay both lady’s that run this place are so friendly and very knowledgeable about their town nothing was to much for them at all …we just returned from a 2 night stay here we book a double room suite everything was great even had a fridge in the room that normally we don’t get when we booked a b&b

Mandy and Sharon are wonderful people. It is always lovely to see them. The hotel is always cosy and the rooms beautiful.
This year they cooked me special omlettes to my request, it is these things that make The Cranbourne a great place to stay.

A perfect stay, a very warm welcome on arrival, a spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, lovely touches with the chocolates and excellent shortbread biscuits. Breakfast was delicious and the service impeccable. We stay in torquay quite often and would definitely return to this hotel.

A perfect stay

We stayed here for four days and Mandy and Sharon made us feel at home,the room was # 8 on the top floor but as we are fairly fit we found it very comfortable with a TV and tea and coffee which was very welcome particulary the bicuits which were replaced every day with different ones including a snicker and a curlyworly !
Breakfast was very tasty and we could have almost what we wanted with fruit on offer and fruit juice we were made up.
Next time that we visit Torquay  we will try to book here again as it is the BEST B&B IN TORQUAY. !

The best B&B  in torquey

I had a perfect stay at the Cranbourne guest house in July 2022. Mandy and Sharon were both wonderful hosts, the room  had everything I needed, including a fan for the hot weather. Breakfast options were also delicious. @Mandy and Sharon - keep doing what you’re doing and hope to see you again next year! With thanks, the Swiss address lady haha :)

Great stay as a solo guest

I usually prefer the anonymity of a hotel, but one with good location and value - couldn't find one that suited in my price range for my dates, so for me this was my first "guest house" experience in some years and I went on the reviews of the Cranborne - so glad I did - the hosts are friendly and can guage the amount of "friendliness" you need - so not in your face - I took the only single room they have for 4 nights - the room is on the first floor, nicely decorated and has everything you'd need for a base - bathroom with shower over bath (hot water never a problem), walk in wardrobe, plenty of drawer space, TV, fan, hairdryer, fridge, tea/coffee/kettle etc. and it's not noisy (although earplugs are provided (didn't need mine).  Brekkie wise there's cereals, fruit, yoghurt, juice along with a choice of 6 cooked to order options (veggie and vegan also catered for). There's two bus stops within a 2 min walk (one towards Paignton/Brixham and the other towards harbour, Babbacombe, Teignmouth and Dawlish (top tip if using busses buy the mega rider (I got a weekly for £20 and was only there 4 days but totally abused it haha), seafront is a 5-10 min walk  - it worked well for me and I'd recommend x

Friendly, knowledgeable hosts, excellent accommodation, awesome breakfast and good location

We arrived to such a warm and and inviting welcome that.  I felt so at home I forgot I was away.  The beds were so clean and comfortable.  Breakfast was a feast, the best I have ever had any hotel here and abroad,  so generous. varied with the added bonus of being locally sourced.  Mandy and Sharon were passionate about the outstanding service provided.

This guest house may not be modern, but is homely clean and quaint! 
Mandy and Sharon, were friendly, helpful and attention to detail was superb!
The breakfast menu could not have been improved on, fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, a range of hot choices, freshly cooked as ordered, delicious and an ample portion, all washed down with fruit juice, tea or coffee.
The rooms are spotless, beds very comfortable, crisp and clean linen, facilities in room excellent.
This B&B offers a holiday break at a very affordable price. Highly recommended.
