yes the carshalton teresa and peter came back again !! Annette James Laura James and Mandy were all as good at their jobs as they always are.rooms clean thanks due to mandy who works so hard,Breakfast perfecto thanks to Laura and the chef,had a evening meal which was quality,we met some lovely people in neil the barmans bar and had a great laugh every night.To sum up thanks to you all and we will be back next year !! p s Neil can you stock up on the zest mermaid gin please mate ? cheers all BIG love Peter and Teresa x

superb to get back with iow friends

Booked a 5-day stay commencing 15/09/22 via booking.com. Contacted directly by hotel requesting we book directly with them so they could avoid commission. They also stated they would provide discount ferry fees if we did so. We opted to continue with booking.com and also discovered that there wasn't a discounted ferry price. Received email (retained as proof) stating payment was to be on arrival. Contacted hotel today to be spoken to by an obnoxious creep who stated they had attempted to withdrawn the full payment, which was not authorised and cancelled the booking. Told to shove the hotel up his ****. I recommend you do the same.

Truly ignorant, awful staff

Was on holiday in shanklin booked  dinner a a few nights the staff were excellent so much fun and pleasant made sure our meals were ok nothing was a problem,the waitress great sense of  humour ,we had fun with Amanda nice young lady and Laura was full of fun ,the food was excellent can not wait till next year ,hope Laura and Amanda still there ,they work very hard to make sure every thing is ok ,big hug to them .Keith ( trouble as Amanda called me lol ) and Gaynor other Keith & jo and Mary and Melvin ,thank you if your thinking of booking just do it

Excellent

A great location, with amazing views!  The Aqua hotel was everything we hoped it would be for our recent trip to the Isle of Wight.  The staff were all friendly and helpful, even recommending other places that we might like to try for evening meals.  The breakfast was also a great way to start the day, with juices, cereals, yogurts and a range of cooked options available.

There is lots of local parking and, on the advice of the hotel staff, we bought a tourist permit for the duration of our stay, which is also valid for most of the public car parks across the Island.

Overall, we would have no hesitation in returning to the Aqua for our next trip to the Isle of Wight.

The perfect place

The Aqua is set at the far end of Shanklin Esplanade, commanding expansive sea views. The hotel rooms are above the bar and restaurant. They have an open patio area with tables and parasols. The aspect is very pleasant.
The decor is bright and tidy, staff at reception are welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Our room was at the front with a balcony overlooking the sea. The room itself was clean and tidy and caught the morning sun. Bathroom was compact and clean,showing signs of wear,but nothing serious. Breakfast had a good choice of fruit juices and cereals,with a good range of cooked options. We dud not have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant in the evening,as it was closed  due to staff shortages. This was not an issue as there were eateries adjacent that could be used.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

Great Location

We held my grandson’s 18th birthday lunch here on 23rd October. Nothing was too much trouble. We walked into a wonderful surprise as the table was beautifully decorated. The food was superb and we all had such a brilliant lunch. The staff were really amazing. I cannot praise the enough for giving my grandson such a wonderful birthday lunch.

Went for birthday lunch. Food was good but it didn’t make up for shoddy service. They didn’t top up our wine we had to do it ourselves and they took our plates before we were finished eating. And they didn’t take responsibility when asked about it.

If you are wanting to stay on the Isle of Wight look no further than The Aqua.  Perfectly positioned at the end of the Esplanade, walking distance to Shanklin Chine and old village.  The hotel/B&B is very clean and comfortable, the staff are delightful and nothing is too much trouble.  A pre dinner drink in the airy bar or on the deck before enjoying an excellent meal in the restaurant is a perfect end to the day.  The choice on the menu suits all tastes.  We were lucky enough to have a balcony room and the view of the sunrise was brilliant.  Thanks to all at the Aqua for a very enjoyable stay

A Little Gem

We stayed here for 5 nights late September and thoroughly enjoyed the stay, lovely room, great breakfasts and very friendly staff.  We have eaten in the brassiere restaurant many times this year when staying elsewhere on the island, and highly recommend it, and of course when we stayed in the hotel we dined there again.   Booking the ferry through the hotel produced a great discount not available if you book ferry direct, that saving more than covered the cost of parking (promenade opposite/car park nearby)

Great location Friendly welcome

We only had lunch there. It was good, and on the esplanade, so with a view . Food was a bit generic but well done with good service. Handy for the chine and away from the more  frenetic end of Shanklin.
